    My daughter，Jane，never dreamed of receive a letter from a girl of his own age in Holland．Last year，we were traveling across the Channel and Jane put a piece paper with her name and address on it into the bottle．She throws the bottle into the sea．She never thought of it again，but ten months late，she received a letter from a girl in Holland．Both girl write to each other regular now．Therefore，they have decided to use the post office．Though letters will cost a little，but they will certainly travel more faster．

    分析 本文主要讲述作者的女儿简从未想过会接到荷兰一位同龄姑娘的来信．去年，当他们横渡吉利海峡时，简把写有她姓名和住址的一张纸条装进了一只瓶子，又将瓶子扔进了大海．但十个月以后，她收到了一个荷兰姑娘的来信．现在这两位姑娘定期通信了．

    详解：
    1．receive改为receiving 考查动名词．of 是介词，后接动词时用动名词形式．
    2．piece后加of 考查介词．a piece of意为"一张（片； 块；…）"，是固定搭配．
    3．the改为a 考查冠词．bottle是可数名词，其前用不定冠词a表示泛指．
    4．throws改为threw 考查动词时态．此处讲述的是已发生的事情，用一般过去时态．
    5．late改为later 考查副词．later用于一段具体时间之后，表示从过去或将来算起的多长时间以后，但通常不指从现在算起的多久以后．
    6．girl改为girls 考查名词复数．girl是可数名词，其前用both修饰时用复数形式．
    7．regular改为regularly 考查副词．write是动词，要用副词修饰．
    8．Therefore改为However 考查副词．however表示转折，尤其用于谈及一个既成事实时，表示转折，其意为"可是""仍然"等．可放在句首、句中或句末，通常用逗号与句子其他成分隔开．
    9．加more 考查副词比较级．根据句意：这样会稍微多花点钱，但肯定是快得多了．用比较级more．
    10．去掉but 考查连词．在英语中，两个分句之间用一个连词，此处用了though，but是多余的，要去掉．

    点评 高考短文改错题的形式有说明文，短文故事，书信等，具有很强的实用性．短文的内容和语言都符合高中学生的实际，从表面上看类似一篇学生习作．首先，通读全文，了解短文大意，把握全篇的时态、人称及行文逻辑，在通读全文时把一些容易的错误先改好，再进行逐句改错．其次，要进行逐个句子的改错．这是要对文中的词法、句法和语篇着重分析和特别注意．最后把改好的短文再阅读一遍，检查答案是否正确，感觉是否还有不妥之处，最终形成定稿．

    A boy lived near the Changjiang River was scolded by his parents on last Sunday．Surprising，he didn't go to school on Monday．Instead，he took a bus to Chongqing，in that he secretly slipped into a boat，sleeping all the way．The next morning he found him in Yichang．A lorry driver gives him a lift and something to eat．After visiting a few place of interest near Yidu，he stopped a car，which did not take him to Yidu and to Dangyang．There he was picked up by a policeman and sent home by local government．How exciting and grateful his parents were to meet him!
