Last month, my family planned to take out a trip to Guilin. We packed up our things on advance and arriving at the airport in time. However, while stand in a queue to go through the security check.my young sister said that she felt terrible sick. He had a high fever and a stomach disorder. We were all at the loss, for the plane was taking off in 15 minutes. Luckily, the plane was postponing because of bad weather. Then there was plenties of time for my father to take a cab and go back to town buy some medicine.

When traveling, I always look for museums and sites that have evening hours. We went to the Barbican Gallery on a Thursday evening and caught their recent Lee Krasner exhibition. It was fabulous. The gallery is two levels with numerous smaller spaces, making the exhibition an interesting and enjoyable experience.

I have just watched To Kill a Mockingbird here. The play and actors were fantastic. Nice and clean ladies¡¯ toilets with hot water. During the break, they were selling the usual ice cream and drinks. Not all staff were friendly, but most were. I would come again to watch another show or even the same one.

¡¾ÌâÄ¿¡¿Before a new type of airplane goes into service, every part of it is tested again and again. But there are two tests that are more important than all the others.
The first is called the ¡°tank test¡±. A modern airplane must fly very high in the sky. Air must be pumped into the plane so that the passengers can breathe. The metal structure (½á¹¹) of the plane has to be very strong for this reason. When the plane is filled with air, the air presses against the skin of the plane inside. The pressure (ѹÁ¦) on a small window is like a huge foot that is trying to get out. If a small part of the plane were to fail, the plane would explode in the sky. To test the structure of the plane, the plane is lowered into a huge tank or container of water. Then it is filled with air. The pressure inside the plane is greater than it ever will be when it is high up in the air. Finally, there is an explosion. This does not cause so much damage inside the water tank as it would anywhere else. Engineers can discover which part of the plane has broken. Then that part is made stronger,
The most dangerous test happens when the new plane is going through test flights in the air. The test pilot must find out exactly what happens when the engines (·¢¶¯»ú) are all shut off at once. The plane begins to fall like a stone. It is the pilot¡¯s job to find out how he can get control of the plane again. These two tests are examples of how planes are made safe before they ever carry passengers.
¡¾1¡¿By doing the ¡°tank test¡±, the engineers can find out ________.
A.the power of the airplane enginesB.the amount of air in the plane
C.the strength of the plane structureD.the pressure inside and outside the plane
¡¾2¡¿What will happen to the plane under the ¡°tank test¡±?
A.It will be tested by pilots.B.It will be broken.
C.It will be made stronger.D.It will be filled with water.
¡¾3¡¿According to the text. why are test flights most dangerous?
A.Too much air may get into the plane.B.The plane may explode in the air.
C.The pilot may lose control of the plane.D.The engines may be damaged.
¡¾4¡¿What might be the most suitable title for the text?
A.How Airplanes Are Made and TestedB.Two Important Tests on Airplanes
C.The Importance of Flying SafelyD.The Danger of Testing Airplanes

This afternoon we had our PE lesson. The teacher had taught us how to practise high jump. The bell rang and we went to the playground on line. After warming-up exercises, the teacher told me the way of jumping and then gave us an example. Followed the teacher one after another, my classmate did very well. Soon it was my turn and I felt a little nervously. I failed at my first attempt, but I was not a bit discouraging. I kept on thinking about the teacher¡¯s words and practising. I managed jump over the pole in the end. From this class I have realized one can succeed whether he has perseverance, just as the old saying go, ¡°Where there is a will, there is a way.¡±
