【解析】（1）write改为writing 考查动名词。本句中动名词writing和speaking是并列关系，都作为介词in的宾语。

（3）leave 改为left 考查时态。句意：自从你离开，我们学校已经发生了巨大的变化。从句意可知“你”是在过去离开的。所有since从句使用一般过去时。
（4）went改为goes 考查时态。在表示客观真理的句子中都使用一般现在时。
（5）because 后加of 考查介词短语。连词because后面要接从句表示原因，介词短语because of的后面要接名词或者短语表示原因，本句中his illness作为介词in的宾语。
（6）去掉the 考查固定短语。短语make full use of充分利用=make the most of。句意：我们能够充分利用我们的资源。
（7）are改为is 考查主谓一致。本句的主语是the number of“...的数量”，该短语做主语的时候，谓语动词使用单数形式。而a number of意为“许多，大量....”，修饰可数名词复数形式，做主语的时候，谓语动词使用复数形式。
（8）to study 去掉to 考查固定结构。短语prefer to do sth rather than do sth宁愿做某事也不愿做某事；rather than后面接动词原形。
（9）could改为should 考查虚拟语气。动词insist表示“坚持要求做某事”时，后面的宾语从句要使用“（should）+动词原形”的虚拟语气。
（10）sit 后加in/on 考查动词。动词sit是不及物动词，不能直接加宾语，后面要加介词以后再接宾语。本句sit的逻辑宾语是the chair，所以要在sit后面加in/on.
