I am deeply impressed by the success of the Beijing Olympic Games. To compete in the Olympic Games becomes my dream because participating in a competition gives me a great feeling of accomplishment——I’m an Olympian.

I will always remember that Zhou Kai outshined his teammates to set records that he could never have imagined. Nor will I forget that Liu Zige smashed the world record on her way to winning Olympic gold in the women’s 200m butterfly. And I’m still excited to think of those days when Phelps rewrote quite a few Guinness world records.

These accomplishments are breathtaking. However, in reality they require an enormous amount of strength and fitness as well as determination. No pains, no gains, as a proverb says. Only when we fear no hardship can we achieve them and become real Olympians.
