Although medical science is well developed nowadays, there are still many people with disabilities living around us. Their disabilities make them live a hard life. In general, they are still a disadvantaged social group, who suffer discriminations in work, education, transportation, etc. To some extent, disability is often defined as something tragic. However, disabled people are an important part in our society, so it’s our duty to lend a helping hand to them.

First of all, we should pass major legislation recognizing people with disabilities as a protected class to ensure their rights in place. Additionally, we should make public places readily accessible to disabled people to guarantee that they can fully integrate into our social life. Last but not least, we should foster public awareness to show respect and consideration for the disabled.
