    　　People learn in different ways．Researchers give different names to different learning styles, but they all agree that students who understand their own styles can improve their study skills．The learning styles described below(visual, auditory, and tactile)are just three of the many ways to identify how people learn．

    　　Visual learners have to“see it to believe it”．They often have good imaginations(they can picture things in their minds), and they may also have a good sense of colour and artistic ability．These learners may have trouble listening to lectures or instructions if there are no pictures or text to support what they hear．They may also find it hard to focus in a room where people are moving around．

    　　Auditory learners remember information if ________．They prefer to learn by listening and will often ask questions about things they read．Reading tasks can he difficult for these learners, and they can quickly lose their focus if there is too much noise in a room．

    　　Tactile learners can learn and remember what they touch．That's why computers are a big help to these learners; the sense of touch(using the keyboard)helps them remember information．Tactile learners prefer to do“hands-on”activities such as role plays, science experiments, or project that involve buildings．They learn better when they do some sort of physical activity．Tactile learners need to take frequent breaks when they study because they don't like sitting for long periods of time．

The attackers began to move in on the boy again when Ione’s husband shouted: “Get lost!” The two men walked quickly and quietly across the street and drove off in a dark car.

    [4]“I have to get to the hospital!” the boy cried. He lifted his shirt, and Ione could see a bloody wound on his stomach. Oliver hugged the trembling(发抖的) boy while Ione caught her cell phone and car keys inside the house. She handed the phone to Oliver. “Call 911,” she told him. “I’m going after them.” Ione took off but was unable to find the car.

When he refused, one of the men hit him in the face. The boy ran across the street. The men caught up with him, and one hurt him in the back and stomach with a sharp knife. That’s when Ione stepped in.
