GM plants can grow all the year round and they usually grow very fast.What’s more，production can be greatly increased，which helps to solve the food problem of the world.
Just as each coin has two sides，GM food has some disadvantages.First，there may be something poisonous in GM food，which will harm people’s health.Second，GM plants may have a negative effect on the variety of plants.Finally，some GM plants may kill some beneficial insects and cause damage to the ecosystem.
In my opinion，while GM technology benefits us in many ways，there are still some unknown risks.Scientists should make greater efforts to improve GM food and at the same time，the government should make some laws about the production and sale of GM food.
