Carlos Al Mabal was born in Manila in 1950, and at the ago of two weeks he was taken by his father, a musician, to the United States by sea. He spent his first ten years in the American south-land where he attended school. Between the ages of 10 and 18, he travelled in the south and Western Atlantic areas, lived in Florida and graduated from his school in 1968. Early in his life he had great interest in musical instruments, and in 1965, he learned to play the piano and quickly became an expert on it. Since his graduation from Florida State University in 1973, he has been a famous pianist. He is not married, saying that his music should come first.
