    That was pleasing and then at the other store I was checking out and this grandma had her granddaughter in the basket．She was trying to get her granddaughter out of the basket with keys and a wallet in her hand．I offered to help lift her out of the basket．She had just had an operation and couldn't lift things very well．Later，she thanked me for helping．I handed her my second smile card．
    As a mother，I love acts of kindness and the smile cards are amazing to be able to leave behind as you do them．

    20．Animals react to the changing seasons with changes in mood and behavior，and human beings are no exception．Most people find they eat and sleep slightly more in winter and dislike the dark mornings and short days．For some，however，symptoms are severe enough to damage their lives and to cause much stress．These people are suffering from SAD（Seasonal Affective Disorder）．The symptoms tend to start from around September each year lasting until April，but are at their worst in the darkest months．

    The problem results from the lack of bright light in winter．Researchers have proved that bright light makes a difference to the brain chemistry，although the exact means by which sufferers are affected is not yet known．
    As the cause is lack of bright light，the treatment is to be in bright light every day by using a light box or a similar bright treatment．Going to a brightly-lit climate，whether skiing or somewhere hot，is indeed a cure．Outdoor light，even when the sky is overcast，provides as much or more light than a light box．Research showed an improvement in SAD symptoms when individuals took a one-hour daily walk outside．Outside light is often brighter than the light boxes．The preferred level of light is about as bright as a spring morning on a clear day and for most people sitting in front of a light box，allowing the light to reach the eyes，for between 15and 45minutes daily will be enough to alleviate the symptoms．The user does not have to stare at the light，but can watch TV or read a book，just allowing the light to reach the eyes．
