When I was a child, I hope to live in the city. I thought I would be happy there. Now I am living in a city, but I miss my home in countryside. There the air is clean or the mountains are green. Unfortunate, as industrialization develops, the environment has been polluted. Lots of studies have been shown that global warming has already become a seriously problem. The airs we breathe in is getting dirtier and dirtier. Much rare animals are dying out. They must found ways to protect our environment. If we fail to do so, we’ll live to regret it.

【题目】阅读下列短文,从每题所给的四个选项(A、B、C和D)中,选出最佳选项。
People who averaged fewer than seven hours of sleep per night in the weeks before being exposed to the cold virus were nearly three times as likely to get sick as those who averaged eight hours or more, a new study found.
Researchers used frequent telephone interviews to track the sleep habits of more than 150 men and women aged 21 to 55 over the last few weeks. Then they exposed the subjects to the virus, quarantined(检疫隔离)them for five days and kept track of who got sick.
Besides sleeping more, sleeping better also seemed to help the body fight illness: Patients who fared better on a measure known as “sleep efficiency”—the percentage of time in bed that you’re actually sleeping—were also less likely to get sick.
The results held true even after researchers adjusted for elements such as body-mass index, age, sex, smoking and pre-existing antibodies(抗体)to the virus.
The researchers aren’t exactly sure why sleeping better makes you less likely to develop a cold. But they do try to give an answer: “Sleep disturbance influences the regulation of symptom mediators(调节因子)that are released in response to infection.” In plain English, maybe tossing and turning when you’re infected with the cold virus contributes to the symptoms that define a cold.
The researchers were based at Carnegie Mellon, the University of Pittsburgh and the University of Virginia, and the study was funded by the National Institutes of Health.

During the holiday of National Day, I saw a heated crime action movie naming Operation Mekong, that was based on a true story known as the Mekong Massacre. Two Chinese commercial vessels were hijacked while traveling down the Mekong River of the Golden Triangle, one of the large drug-manufacturing region in the world. All 13 sailors killed, and 900,000 methamphetamine pills were found on the spot by Thailand officials. The Chinese government sent a group of admirable officers to the Golden Triangle so as to uncover a truth of the case. The police informer in Thailand concentrated all her attention on the usual clues. By updating clues constant, he assisted his colleagues to acquire thorough evidence of the crime. Eventually officers cracked the criminal organization and brought criminals to justice. All in all, I highly recommend this film to all of you, so it is eye-catching and thought-provoking, and I think it is worth to seeing.

【题目】The 2016 Rio Olympic Games have come to an end. Without doubt, many Chinese sports fans sat in front of the TV and cheered our athletes on, hoping that they would get as many gold medals as possible.

Swimmer Fu Yuanhui won fans’ hearts, even if she only won a bronze medal in the 100m backstroke final. Her fans on her Sina Weibo micro blog have increased 100,000 to over 6 million. Many sports fans appreciated her straightforward character and attitude toward competition.

【题目】More than 30,000 people went to the White House on Monday for the 136th Easter Egg Roll (复活节滚彩蛋). President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama held the event by inviting thousands of kids to color and look for eggs. The theme(主题) of the day was “Hop Into Healthy, Swing Into Shape.” It was part of the First Lady s“Let' s Move!”program to reduce obesity rates (肥胖率) among American kids. Mrs. Obama spoke to young reporters about her goal(目标) to get children to eat right and keep moving.
“We are working to make sure that kids born today grow up healthy, learn how to have balanced meals, and get more physical activity into their lives,” she said.
Mrs. Obama said she wants children across the nation to understand that "exercise isn't just hard work, it' s play. If you're running around with your dog, you're getting exercise. She loves to play tennis and she practices yoga.
“A lot of kids look up to(敬仰) athletes, and I think it's important for athletes to share their good habits,” Mrs. Obama said. "Kids aren' t just going to wake up and be LeBron James.
