As is often the case, when people are attending meetings, having meals or waiting for buses, you can always find it addicted to their phones, completely ignore others.
This is really a common phenomenon in our life. The reason is because smart phones nowadays can be used for people to play mobile games but keep in touch with friends through QQ and Wechat. However, too many exposure to phones is bad for people in term of health. Moreover, people who were engaged in phones fail to communicate well those around them.
As far as I'm concerned, people should wise make use of their phones to help with their work and study. Meanwhile, they should be care more about their family members and friends rather than mobile phones.

As it is known to us, fewer and fewer students do sports regularly, what makes them weak and easily tired.
There are many reasons about this. First of all, some of the students complain that they have too many homework, result in less time to take exercise. Beside, some of them think that it is very difficult for them to keep doing exercise, because it is very hard thing.
For lack of physical activities, many students were in poor health. I suggest that our school must take measures to encourage more students to take part in sports. For us students, no matter what busy we are, it is necessary to spare some time to do exercise.

【题目】Grandma Pugh sized up the baby like a pig at the farmers’ market. There was a pause and then she pronounced. “He’s got nice long legs.” She clapped her hands once in approval. But then she frowned and leaned forward. Everyone waited anxiously. The baby had opened his eyes and was staring up. “But those cross eyes won’t do,” she declared firmly, shaking her head in disappointment.
That had been Freddie Pilcher’s first meeting with Grandma Pugh. Since then, ten years had passed. Much to his grandmother’s satisfaction, she’d been proven right about the boy’s legs. He was a regular beanpole. Grandma Pugh had also been correct about his eyes. Freddie had been wearing glasses to correct his vision since he was two years old. His current pair was thick, and cheap-looking, but at least he could see.
Freddie not only had poor eyesight, but he was also clumsy. He wasn’t good at schoolwork either. But there was one thing that the boy was good at and it was all on account of the length of his legs. He could jump.
Freddie was the best jumper in school. Not only could he leap the furthest but also the highest. At breaktimes, he entertained the little ones by leaping over the school wall into Mrs Hobson’s garden and then rapidly jumping back. She had been up to see the head teacher several times because somebody had been crushing her vegetables.
It was badgers (獾), Freddie suggested, when quizzed by Miss Harpy — definitely badgers; no doubt about it. His dad had terrible problems with badgers. Only last week he had lost two rows of carrots. Freddie had woken one night and heard them tearing through the garden, a whole herd of them. They rooted up the lawn and dug up the vegetables. Terrible things, badgers. All the other children nodded their heads wisely. There was a moment’s pause in Class Three as everyone thought about the dreadful damage that badgers could do.
【1】What do we know about Grandma Pugh?
A. She was present at the birth of baby Freddie.
B. She was unwilling to listen to the ideas of others.
C. She was a figure of great importance in the family.
D. She valued physical appearance over all other things.
【2】Why did Freddie jump over the school wall?
A. To annoy his teacher.
B. To escape from school.
C. To amuse his schoolmates.
D. To damage Mrs Hobson’s vegetables.
【3】Which of the following best describes Freddie’s physical appearance?
A. B.
C. D.
【4】Why does Freddie talk about badgers in the final paragraph?
A. To explain the cause of the damage.
B. To warn the class about their danger.
C. To describe what happened to his father’s garden.
D. To make up an excuse for the cause of the damage.

【题目】 OK, so it's not a real war but the U. S. and China are at the beginning of a trade war thanks to President Trump's policy. The Chinese government raised $34 billion in new duties on goods exported from the U,S. last week in answer to President Trump's unwise tariffs(关税) of $34 billion on Chinese goods.
Farm and seafood-producing states are going to be hit hardest by China's new tariffs on U. S. goods. States where cars are made and shipped to China are on the hook as well.
In terms of value, some 38 percent of products on the tariff list are agricultural, including soybeans, sorghum, tobacco and meat. That's nothing like good news for farm-belt states, primarily in the Midwest like Iowa.
A wide range of seafood is on China's tarifflist. That could hurt fishery workers in Alaska and lobster(龙虾) harvesters in Maine. Alaska, for example, exported nearly $lbillion worth of seafood to China. "China is a major market for Alaska seafood," said Alexa Tonkovich, Executive Director of the Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute. "The seafood industry directly employs nearly 60,000 workers in Alaska each year and directly employs more workers than any other private industry."
And automaking States, particularly in the South, are also at risk. Some 24 percent ofproducts on the list- in terms of value-are cars, trucks and other vehicles. Michigan alone exported $1.7 billion worth of motor vehicles and vehicle parts to China in 2017. Other states being affected include South Carolina, where BMW makes SUVs for both the U.S. and export, and Alabama, home to Mercedes-Benz, Toyota, Honda and Hyundai factories.
This round of tariffs spares some industries, like commercial aircraft. Washington State could breathe a sigh of relief, which is home to Boeing. It also, for the moment, skips tariffs on chemical products.
Alexa Tonkovich has warned the U.S. government that the trade war could risk jobs, reduce industry profits, and cause higher prices for consumers in the U.S!
【1】What does the underlined phrase "on the hook" mean?
A. Caught in a difficult situation.B. Lost in deep thought.
C. Delighted in their luck.D. Stuck in the traffic jams.
【2】Which state will be hurt the least on this round oftariffs?
A. IowaB. Maine
C. Michigan.D. Washington
【3】What is Alexa Tonkovich's attitude towards the trade war?
A. Approving.B. Opposed.
C. Objective.D. Sympathetic
【4】Which ofthe following shows the development ofideas in the text?
I: Introduction P:Point Sp: Siib—point(次要点) C:Conclusion
A. B.
C. D.

A survey (调查)has recently carried out among the students in our school about whether they would like it if their parents gave birth to a second child. Opinions vary wide from one to another.
Most of the students supported the idea. They think that it would be amazing to have a brother and a sister to keep the company and share secrets with. Besides, we believe a second child would bring lots of funs to the family.
However, the rest of the students interviewing hold the opposite view. To start with, raising one child is already a difficult thing and the parents would have to work twice as hard if they had a second child. What's more, they argue whether they have been accustomed to enjoy the whole love from their parents.
