A record 6. 15 million trips were made by Chinese mainland tourists to overseas destinations during the seven-day Spring Festival holiday, 1 ended on Thursday, according to the China National Tourism 2 (administrate). That is an increase of 7 percent compared with last year's Spring Festival.

With many Chinese now 3 (travel) abroad for Spring Festival, their choice of destinations has expanded along 4 their growing interest in foreign cultures and services.

Those traveling to Japan, for example, where "shopping spree (.物狂)“ -5 (become) a catchword in 2015, now prefer a physical checkup or experiencing Japanese culture.

Li Xuejing, a marketing manager, said Chinese tourists are 6 (increasing) willing to experience local culture and characteristic services, including staying in private homes, appreciating bonsai and watching monkeys in hot springs.

7 Chinese tourist surnamed Guo,who was vacationing on an island in the Philippines, said she now pays more attention to relaxation and enjoyment during the holidays instead of shopping or choosing gifts for 8 (relative).

"When I book a hotel, I will take into consideration the massage (按摩)’ the spa and other special services…9 (enjoy) myself," she said.

Another choice is Britain. Though the devaluation (乏值)of the pound 10 (be) a factor, Britain's rich history and famous education tradition have caught the eye of Chinese.

1which

2Administration

3travel(l)ing

4with

5became

6increasingly

7A

8relatives

9to enjoy

10is

1这句话的中心词是“A record 6. 15 million trips”,which可作代词指代句子前的“A record 6. 15 million trips”形成从句。故用which

Administration

4根据后文的“their growing interest in foreign cultures and services”和前面的内容可以得知,用介词“with”

10这段话的主语是“the devaluation (乏值)of the pound”,宾语是“factor”,且factor是单数形式,表示一般现在时,所以谓语用“is”

The principles about applying for jobs have altered greatly lately. In the past, people preferred a handwritten application letter. However, nowadays it is becoming more and more common to apply for a job through the Internet. You can find information on the Internet about how to apply for jobs. Information can be found about how to fulfill your application letter, the clothes that you should wear and how to carry out the interview itself.
The importance of body language is often mentioned, but doesn't always get the attention it deserves. After all, before a word has even been spoken, your body language will have already given people their first impression of you. Additionally, your body language will also give out a lot more information. Based on your body language it can be seen if you are self-confident. It can also show if you are a busy or a quiet type and it helps give an impression of whether you are speaking truthfully or not. Body language can show how enthusiastic you are and if you are a nice person, someone who will take his work seriously, but also someone who has a sense of humor and can enjoy a joke from time to time. The members of the application committee will ask you questions, but your answers won't only be oral. The committee will not only pay attention to what you say, but also to how you say it! Body language will determine first if it “clicks”, and sometimes all it takes is just a few seconds. Everybody uses body language, but it takes place mostly at a subconscious (下意识的) level.
America is a mobile society. Friendships between Americans can be close and real, yet disappear soon if situations change. Neither side feels hurt by this. Both may exchange Christmas greetings for a year or two, perhaps a few letters for a while — then no more. If the same two people meet again by chance, even years later, they pick up the friendship. This can be quite difficult for us Chinese to understand, because friendships between us flower more slowly but then may become lifelong feelings, extending (延伸) sometimes deeply into both families.
Americans are ready to receive us foreigners at their homes, share their holidays, and their home life. They will enjoy welcoming us and be pleased if we accept their hospitality (好客) easily.
Another difficult point for us Chinese to understand Americans is that although they include us warmly in their personal everyday lives, they don't show their politeness to us if it requires a great deal of time. This is usually the opposite of the practice in our country where we may be generous with our time. Sometimes, we, as hosts, will appear at airports even in the middle of the night to meet a friend. We may take days off to act as guides to our foreign friends. The Americans, however, express their welcome usually at homes, but truly can not manage the time to do a great deal with a visitor outside their daily routine. They will probably expect us to get ourselves from the airport to our own hotel by bus. And they expect that we will phone them from there. Once we arrive at their homes, the welcome will be full, warm and real. We will find ourselves treated hospitably.
For the Americans, it is often considered more friendly to invite a friend to their homes than to go to restaurants, except for purely business matters. So accept their hospitality at home!
(1)The writer of this passage must be ________.
A.an American

A.Friendships between Americans usually extend deeply into their families.

(3)From the last two paragraphs we can learn that when we arrive in America to visit an American friend, we will probably be ________.
A.warmly welcomed at the airport
B.offered a ride to his home
C.treated hospitably at his home
D.treated to dinner in a restaurant
(4)The underlined words “generous with our time” in Paragraph 3 probably mean ________.
A.strict with time
B.serious with time
C.careful with time
D.willing to spend time
(5)A suitable title for this passage would probably be “________”.
A.Friendships between Chinese

I took the Harvard Summer School program in my vacation. During my stay there, I spend a lot of time studying in the main library Widener. I enjoyed myself in the ocean of knowledges, either doing research for my papers or read special edition books. The library, which it is named after its donor Harry Widener, stands right next to the Emerson building of philosophy. Opening a pair of heavy yet elegant metal doors, I was immediate bathed in warm light. I wandered around the library, fascinating to find one treasure after other.

The library is a amazing place. One can fully experience the academic atmosphere only he visits the library. For me, the library as well as the courses explain Harvard’s place as the home of devoted scholars.

Every human being, no matter what he is doing, gives off body heat. The usual problem is how to get rid of it. But the designers of the Johnstown campus (校园) of the University of Pittsburgh set themselves the opposite problem — how to collect body heat. They have designed a collection system which uses not only body heat, but the heat given off by such objects as light bulbs and refrigerators as well. The system works so well that no fuel is needed to make the campus’s six buildings comfortable.

Some parts of most modem buildings theaters and offices as well as classrooms, are more sufficiently heated by people and lights and sometimes must be air-conditioned (使用空调的) even in winter. The technique of saving heat and redistributing (再分配) it is called heat recovery”. A few modern buildings recover heat, but the Universitys system is the first to recover heat from buildings and reuse it in others.

Along the way, Pittsburgh has learned a great deal about some of its producers. The harder a student studies, the more heat his body gives off. Male students send out more heat than female students, and the larger a student is, the more heat he produces. We may conclude that the hottest prospect for the Johnstown campus would be a hard working overweight mate genius.

A. by human bodies

B. by both human bodies and other heat-giving objects

C. by both human bodies and commonly used fuel
