    People who support the idea think that traditional Chinese characters look very beautiful, and contain valuable Chinese culture. Also, they think that traditional Chinese characters are easy to recognize and learn. In their opinion, simplified Chinese characters are a kind of regress.
    On the other hand, those against the idea think that traditional Chinese characters are very hard to write and that simplified Chinese characters represent progress as they meet the needs of the fast-paced lifestyles of modern society.
    As far as I’m concerned, it is a tendency for languages to become simpler. However, it is also necessary to keep our excellent Chinese culture. So the best way to kill two birds with one stone is that we should be able to recognize traditional Chinese characters but only required to write simplified ones.

    Reading is a pleasure of the mind, which means that it is a little like a sport: your eagerness and knowledge and quickness make you a good reader.     Unfortunately, with TV broadcasting 24 hours a day, many people have lost interest in reading. Whenever they are free and have some leisure time, they turn on the TV and watch whatever is on. It’s a pity that children today have far less interest in books than a TV set.
