Coaching books£¬which are very popular with middle school students nowadays£¬are playing an important role in students' life. They can not only help us review, summarize and consolidate what we have learned before, but guide us how to learn in the future. Outstanding coaching books are just like excellent teachers, which are a great help to us. However, we cannot depend too much on coaching books, because the best way of learning is to learn by ourselves. What's more, some coaching books are in poor quality, and that¡¯s why it is of great necessity for us to choose and judge by ourselves.

Dear Patti,

I¡¯m writing to you for some advice on my studies. As you know, football is a very popular sport in the world and I am attracted to it and I have fallen in love with it, which makes me feel so crazy. I have spending lots of time doing many things related to it, like watching football matches, reading newspapers and magazines, and searching the Web for more information about football. As a result, it has certainly disturbed my normal study. Though I know to be a football fan is my hobby and my major adjective is to learn more knowledge in school, I can¡¯t concentrate on my lessons and gradually I am tired of them. I am still a senior two middle school student, and I¡¯ll have my own business even when I grow up, so I am not likely to do a job in the field of football. But now I can¡¯t stop myself from getting involved further with football. So I feel very depressed and want to know how to deal with the contradiction (ì¶Ü. between my studies and boobies.)

Sincerely yours,

Li Ming

Earth Hour is an annual international event set up by the WWF (World Wildlife Fund) and held on the last Saturday of March. It asks families and factories to turn off their non-essential£¨²»±ØÒªµÄ£© lights and electrical appliances(µçÆ÷) for one hour to raise awareness(Òâʶ) of the need to take action on climate change. It was first held in Australia in 2007, and achieved worldwide participation£¨²Î¼Ó£© in 2008.

Earth Hour 2008 was the biggest voluntary power down in history. More than 370 cities in 35 countries took part and celebrated Earth Hour in their local ways. Businesses, school groups, communities and individuals celebrated all over the world with candle-lit dinners, torch parties, and street celebrations. Symbolic(±êÖ¾ÐÔµÄ) buildings and landmarks went dark, including the Sydney Opera House, the Sears Tower, and the Coliseum in Rome.

The WWF is sending a message to the people around the world that Earth Hour is the perfect opportunity for individuals, governments, schools, businesses and communities from all over to unite in a common purpose, and in response to a global issue that affects us all.
