Beijing was once a city of bikes, the capital of a country 【1】 (know) as the Bicycle Kingdom, where cars were reserved for official business and the politically powerful. 【2】, decades of remarkable economic growth led to a huge flowing of can in the city. Owning one became not just a marker of reaching the middle class but also a 【3】 (require) for marriage. As the economy boomed, autos pushed bikes off the roads, 【4】 (create) heavy pollution and miserable traffic.
Fortunately now Beijing may be returning to its roots with a modem twist. Thanks to about 20 technology companies, brightly coloured shared bikes 【5】 (flood) Beijing since last year. Many local residents welcome the shared bikes 【6】 the flexibility and freedom they offer. They pick up the bikes and then ride and drop 【7】 off anywhere they like, locking the back wheel, with no need to find a fixed place.
Analysis in China say there are three factors 【8】 contribute to the sudden increase of bikes: a lot of cash looking for a home, a good idea and government support. “As the city’s population grew, traffic jams got 【9】 (bad).” Cai, the Ofo spokeswoman, said, “Shared bikes could solve the ‘last mile’ problem in 【10】 environmentally friendly way.”
【1】known
【2】However
【3】requirement
【4】creating
【5】have flooded/have been flooding
【6】for
【7】them
【8】that
【9】worse
【10】an
【1】known
be known as…
【2】However
【3】requirement
a ____ for marriage 。
【4】. creating
As the economy boomed, autos pushed bikes off the roads, ___4___ (create) heavy pollution and miserable traffic。
【5】have flooded/have been flooding
故可用have flooded/have been flooding。
【6】for
Offer for “出价”,“以…..出售”。许多当地居民欢迎共享自行车的灵活性和他们提供的自由。而本题有可能有人错填to。因为共享的自行车要花钱才能使用,故要用offer for,Offer sb.sth.=off sth. to sb.

Last Thursday, I was standing near a subway exit, try to call a taxi. But no luck. Then I thought of the taxi-booking app my friend has recommended and I booked a taxi through my cell phone. Soon it came and I got into the taxi, feeling pretty proudly of my high-tech way and satisfied with the convenience brought by the app. So later, I found that the driver was busy looking his cell phone to get the next order. It was just then when I began to worry about my safety. What's bad, the driver's informations might be false. How can we passengers' legal rights be protecting if something bad happens? Therefore, be careful when you use the taxi-booking app the next time.

One of the most important things in the world is friendship. In order to have friends, you have to be a friend. But how can you be a good friend at school?
Listen — Listen when they are talking. Don't say anything unless they ask you a question. Sometimes it's not necessary for you to have anything to say; they just need someone to talk to about their feelings.
Help them — If your friend is ever in need of something, be there to help them. You should try to put them first, but make sure you don't do everything they want you to do. Try to take an extra (额外的) pencil or pen with you to classes in case (以防) they forget one. Have a little extra money in your pocket in case they forget something they need.
Be there for them — Try to make something for your friend to help make them feel better in hard times. Making cards and encouraging them are among the nicest things you can do for a friend. Marilyn Monroe, a famous U.S. actor, once said, “I often make mistakes. Sometimes I am out of control. But if you can't stay with me at my worst, you are sure not to deserve (值得) to be with me at my best.” Always remember this! If you don't want to stay with your friends when they're in hard times, then you don't deserve to be with them when they're having a good time!
Try to make plans with your friends. Go shopping, go for ice cream, have a party, go to a movie and so on. Take time to know each other even better by doing something you both enjoy. By planning things together, you both can have a good time. And you'll remember these things when you're all old!
(1)While your friend is talking to you about his or her feelings, you should _____.
A.give him or her some advice
B.just listen unless asked
C.calm him or her down
D.share your feelings as well
(2)When we provide help for our friends, we should _____.
A.try to do everything for them
B.put them before ourselves
C.change their bad habits first
D.ignore their faults
(3)What can we learn from Marilyn Monroe's words?
A.Life without a friend is death.
B.A friend is easier lost than found.
C.A friend in need is a friend indeed.
D.A man is known by his friends.

Astronauts on shorter shuttle missions (使命) often work very long days. Tasks are scheduled so tightly that break times are often used to finish the tightly that break times are often used to finish the day's work. This type of scheduled is far too demanding for long missions on the International Space Station (ISS). ISS crewmembers usually live in space for at least a quarter of a year. They work five days on and two days off to mimic the normal way they do things on Earth as much as possible. Weekends give the crew valuable time to rest and do a few hours of housework. They can communicate with family and friends by email, internet phone and through private video conferences.
While astronauts cannot go to a baseball game or a movie in orbit, there are many familiar activities that they can still enjoy. Before a mission, the family and friends of each ISS crewmember put together a collection of family photos, messages, videos and reading material for the astronauts to look at when they will be floating 370 kilometers above the Earth.
During their mission, the crew also receives care packages with CDs, books, magazines, photos and letters. And as from early 2010, the internet became available on the ISS, giving astronauts the chance to do some “web surfing(冲浪)”in their personal time. Besides relaxing with these more common entertainments, astronauts can simply enjoy the experience of living in space.
Many astronauts say that one of the most relaxing things to do in space is to look out the window and stare at the universe and the Earth. Both the shuttle and the ISS circle the planet several times each day, and every moment offers a new view of the Earth's vast land mass and oceans.

My husband and I had been married nearly twenty-two years when I acquired Stevens-Johnson syndrome, a disorder where my immune system (免疫系统) responded to a virus by producing painful blisters (水疱). Although my long-term evaluation was good, I, who had been so fiercely independent, rapidly became absolutely helpless.
My husband, Scott, stepped up to the plate, taking care of kids and cooking dinners. He also became my personal caretaker, applying the medicine to all of my blisters because my hands couldn’t do the job. Needless to say, I had negative emotions, bouncing from embarrassment to shame caused by total reliance on someone other than myself.
At one point when I had mentally and physically hit bottoms I remember thinking that Scott must somehow love me more than I could ever love him. With my illness, he had become the stronger one, and I the weaker one. And this disturbed me.
I recovered from my illness, but I couldn’t seem to recover from the thought that I loved my husband less than he loved me. This seeming distinction in our love continued to annoy me for the year following my illness.
Then recently Scott and I went on a long bike ride. He’s an experienced cyclist; I’m quite the green hand. At one point with a strong headwind and sharp pain building in my tired legs, I really thought I couldn’t go any further. Seeing me struggle, Scott pulled in front of me and yelled over his shoulder, “Stay close behind me.” As I fell into the draft of his six- foot- three- inch frame and followed his steps, I discovered that my legs quit burning and I was able to catch my breath. My husband was pulling me along again. At this very moment I woke up to what I now believe: during these and other tough times, love has the opportunity to become stronger when one partner learns to lean on the other.
I pray my husband will always be strong and healthy. But if he should ever become the struggling one, whether on a bike ride or with an illness, I trust I’ll be ready to call out to him: Stay close behind me-my turn to pull you along.

B. Not good at taking action.

【3】What did the author’s husband do when going on the long bike ride?
A. Followed her closely. B. Gave in to her depression.
C. Backed her up all the way. D. Stopped to take care of her.
【4】Which of the following can replace the underlined phrase “stepped up to the plate” in paragraph 2?
