    Apollo 11, carrying Neil Armstrong, Edwin Aldrin and Michael Collins, was launched on 16 July, 1969. Five days later they stepped down onto the moon.

    On the way there: Of all the wonderful views we had, the most impressive to me was on the way to the Moon when we flew through its shadow. We were still thousands of miles away, but close enough so that the Moon almost filled our window. The moon appeared blue-grey. It seemed almost as if it were showing us its roundness, its similarity in shape to our Earth, in a sort of welcome. I was sure it would be a hospitable（好客的） host. It had been waiting for its first visitors for a long time.
    After touch down: The sky is black, you know. It’s a very dark sky, but it still seemed more like daylight than darkness as we looked out the window. It’s a very strange thing but the surface looked very warm and inviting. It seemed to be tan(棕褐色). It’s hard to explain that, because later when I held the material in my hand, it wasn’t tan at all. It was black, grey and so on.

    On the Moon: The blue color of my boots has completely disappeared now into this soil—still don’t know what color to describe this other than grayish(灰色的) cocoa.
    Back on board: The moon was a very natural and pleasant environment in which to work. On the Moon, in one-sixth gravity, you have a strong feeling of being somewhere. As we did our experiments, some objects we threw away would go in a slow, lazy manner.

         This is a story from the Ming Dynasty period of China's history. There was a miner official called
    Wan Hu, whose dream was to "fly to the moon". One day he tied himself to a chair with 47 "rockets"

    astronaut Neil Armstrong stepped down from Apollo 11 and set his foot on the moon's surface, the

       To realize his dream of feeding everyone in China, Yuan Longping worked in fields day and night
    and invented hybrid rice that now feeds almost one quarter of the world's population.
       Dreams are important because they give us vision (远景). We grew great with them. They provide
    direction for our life. With dreams we set goals and make plans, so we can change our present situation
    for the better. And our dreams appeal to the likeminded. As individuals we are better off with
    dreams-and so are our families, communities and society. Life would be dull without a dream.
       When we have a burning desire and we decided to go after it we are full of enthusiasm. As American
    novelist Louisa May Alcott, who wrote Little Women said: "Far away there in the sunshine are my
    highest aspirations". I may not reach them, but I can look up and see their beauty, believe in them, and
    follow where they lead.

         (5)Habits, too, have tremendous gravity pull- more than most people realize or would admit.
    Breaking deeply developed habitual tendencies such as procrastination(拖延) , impatience, criticalness,
    or selfishness that go against basic principles of human effectiveness involves more than a little willpower
    and a few minor changes in our lives. "Lift off" takes a tremendous effort, but once we break out of the
    gravity pull, our freedom takes on a whole new situation.
         (6)Like any natural force, gravity pull can work with us or against us. The gravity pull of some of our
    habits may currently be keeping us from going where we want to go. But it is also gravity pull that keeps
    our world together, that keeps the planets in their orbits and our universe in order. It is a powerful force,
    and if we use it effectively, we can use the gravity pull of habit to create the order necessary to establish
    effectiveness in our lives.

    In 1865 the famous French author Jules Verne wrote two books. One was entitled From the Earth to The Moon and the other was entitled Around The Moon. In these books Jules Verne described man landing on the moon. In 1969 man actually did land on the moon.
