The Children Left Behind in Their Hometown

      More and more young parents in our village have left home to big cities to make a living. As a result, many children have been left to live with their grandparents. Because most of the grandparents are at an old age or in poor health, some of the children have to do much housework at home, even much farm work in the field. On the other hand, these children often feel very lonely and unhappy without their parents’ care and love. Some of them have even fallen into bad habits such as smoking, drinking or even stealing.

      In my opinion, children need many things — not only food and clothes, but also family love. Parents who go out for a living should keep in touch with their children as often as possible and try to give their children the love they need.
