Xi’an - A fire at a large shopping mall in the city of Baoji in Northwest Shanxi Province killed at least eight people and injured 23 others, a local official said on Saturday. The fire broke out at 8: 30 p.m. on Saturday on the third floor of the six-story Renmin Shopping Mall, the official said. Eight victims, including one woman, died while trying to escape the blaze.
