The other day I ran into an old schoolmate of my, Sally Barber, while I was at the cashpoint. I hadn’t seen her for age. I wanted to catch up with her, so I suggested go for a cup of coffee. Unfortunately, Sally’s a very busy woman, but she didn’t have time for a coffee. Let’s meet late in the week, I suggested. That is often the case, Sally looked in her diary, and said we could get together for lunch at 1 pm on Friday at her favorite restaurant. I thought it was a very much smart place, so I had dress in for the occasion. I arrived at a restaurant in good time. I finished my dessert by the time she turned up –she was an hour late!

【解析】
（1）考察名词性物主代词，The other day I ran into an old schoolmate of mine 意思是有一天，我遇到了我的老同学。of.....意思是.....之一，后面应该是名词，根据意思，此处代表的是我的同学，故改为将my改为mine。
（2）考察名词的复数形式，I hadn’t seen her for ages 意思是我好几年没见过她了，其中age的意思是年，是可数名词，故应该用复数，所以已改为ages。

（10）考察时态，by the time 意思是到....时候，其中主句要用完成时，具体时态由从句决定，从句中turned up 是过去时，所以主句应该用过去完成时，所以应该为had finished。

Sometimes people are mean to others who are smarter or different from them. It makes them feel powerfully or in control. But if they take time to get to know that person, they may become friends!
Try not to show angers towards kids who are being mean to you. Standing up tall and walk away can work really well. Not getting a reaction from them takes away the fun for them. They may stop unless they see what they are doing don’t bother you. If kids continue to be mean, try to talk about them. Being calm and firm but nice. It is hard to be mean to someone is being nice. However, if you ever feel threatened or in the danger, tell an adult right away.

I am the only child of my family, my parents give me all the things I want to. I feel so satisfying with the life I own. However, I used to forgetting to share happiness with others. One day, I went to Wang Mei’s birthday party. After I made a wish and blew all the candle out, I couldn’t wait to eat the birthday cake. I took a piece of cake and started to eat it immediate.
