As far as I'm concerned，most classmates really expect you to offer Selected British and American Newspaper Readings．The reasons are as follows：Firstly，it enables us to know current affairs in the world very well，through which we can keep pace with the times．Secondly，we can improve reading comprehension as well as enlarge vocabulary．Thirdly，reading various articles written by native speakers provides us ready access to rich，fresh and practical language，which should further arouse our passion for English．In addition，we will learn what we can't learn from the textbooks such as different cultures and customs．In this way，it will help to broaden our horizon and open our views．All in all，we will certainly benefit from it greatly whatever course it is．
