Day 1 New York-Corning Glass Factory-Finger Lakes-Niagara Falls. The tour departs at 8 a. m. from the Milford Plaza Hotel, 270 W. 45th Street (at 8th Ave.), heading north and west to Corning to visit the famous Glass Center where Corningware and Steuben glass are made. This afternoon drive through the attractive Finger Lakes country to Niagara Falls. Evening at leisure with an optional excursion to see the Falls floodlit (泛光灯照明的) by four million candle power of colored lights.
Day 2 Niagara Falls. Included sightseeing. Your included morning sightseeing tour will show you this spectacular and massive waterfall from various vantage points. For an amazing close-up view from below the thundering waters take an optional boat ride aboard the “Maid of the Mist.” The rest of day at leisure.
Day 3 Niagara-Harrisburg area. Head south today following the Susquehanna River, through the Appalachian Mountains and the old Pennsylvania Farm country, to Harrisburg, the state capital. Then to nearby Carlisle for overnight accommodation.
Day 4 Harrisburg area-Hershey-Penn-Dutch Country-Washington D. C. This morning visit “Chocolatetown U. S. A.” to hear the amazing story of Milton Hershey's success and to visit his Chocolate World. Then to Lancaster County home of the Amish and Mennonite communities. Stop at an Amish farm, where faith and tradition forbid the use of electricity or telephones in the home and promote a distinctive style of dress, family life and the use of horse-drawn buggies in place of motor vehicles. Later this afternoon drive to Washington D. C. and your hotel for the next two nights.
Day 5 Morning Washington city sightseeing. Afternoon at leisure. First this morning an included escorted tour of the great nation's capital; the White House, Capital Hill and the Lincoln Memorial. Then across the Potomac River to see the American heroes' graves, including John F. Kennedy and his brother Robert in the beautiful Arlington Cemetery. Afternoon free for optional excursions.

Many American presidents in the 19th century were born in poor families. They spent their child-hood in little wooden rooms. They got little education. Washington and Lincoln, for example, never went to school and they taught themselves. Lincoln once did jobs of a worker, shop-keeper and post-master in his early years.
A large number of American presidents had experiences in the army. The two best known were Ulysses Grant and Dwight D. Eisenhower. Grant was a general in the American Civil War and Eisenhower was a hero in the Second World War. It happened that they graduated from the same school?--West Point Military Academy (西点军校). One maybe surprised to learn that both of them did not do well in the school. Eisenhower, for example, was once fined (罚款) because he broke the rules of the school.
The jobs of U. S. presidents are tiring. He must keep an eye on anything important which happens both at home and abroad. Every day, a lot of work waits for him to do and he has to make many important decisions (决定). When Franklin Roosevelt was a child, he was once brought to visit President Taft. MEAL TIMES
Our overnight charge includes a continental-type breakfast.
Breakfast: 7:30-9:30 a. m.
Lunch: 12:00-2:00 p. m.
Afternoon tea: 4:00-5:30 p. m.
Dinner: 7:00-9:15 p. m.
Meals can be served in rooms at a small extra charge. We regret that meals cannot be served outside
these times.
Light refreshments including tea, coffee, biscuits and sandwiches, can be served in rooms between
10:00 a. m. and 11:00 p. m. except during the meal times listed above. Cold drinks are available in the room
refrigerator.
ROOM CLEANING
Please hang the appropriate sign on your door handle if you do not wish to be disturbed. It will be easier
for the maids if you can leave the room temporarily at any time between 9:30 a. m. and 4:00 p. m. VALUABLES
We are not responsible for the loss of money, jewellery, or other valuables unless they are kept in the
safe and signed for by the manager.
DEPARTURES
Please inform receptionists of your intended leaving before 9:30 a. m. of the day concerned and leave
the room by noon to allow for its preparation for incoming guests. If circumstances (情况) require, luggage
can be left in the charge of the hall porter.
A SPECIAL REQUEST
We would respectfully suggest that in consideration of the comfort of other guests, the volume of radios
and televisions should be turned down after 11:00 p. m.
