    It has been two years，we have not met．Last time was when we were departing at Rome Airport as a procedure of joining different competitive firms．We exchanged our personal email IDs and I never realized my email ID was one with an error．
    We had been in six years of professional relationship that ended with a small misunderstanding．We never realized that we might not get a chance to clear it．We both had tough ego levels to shed off．
    In these two years work has always kept me busy．There have been instances where I wanted to write to him for his expertise advice but my ego always stopped me．And then one day flying to London for a conference was taking away my peace of mind．I knew he would be there as a part of the event from his firm．
    I thought to ignore him and behave professionally as an employee．Finally，I entered the conference hall．I was quick enough to realize that he would take over participants'attention with his confidence，and all I would do sitting there would be appreciating him，nodding my head as"Yes to Yes"and"No to No"．
    Finally，he approached the stage．
    The very first line that fell into my ears was my name as he continued，"I am proud to be here with 8years of experience and I would like to share my best practices with all of you．This is a journey I completed with one of my best colleagues and my best friend‘my name'who supported me through day and night with the toughest projects and killing deadlines"．
    For a moment I fell numbed （目瞪口呆） and completely lost．All I could remember were my thoughts for him before entering the room and his greatness to acknowledge my presence．Finally，the conference ended and we all left for refreshment．I was struggling hard to face him．
    I saw him coming towards me with a gift．
    I asked him，"Why this gift？"
    He was very humble to answer，‘This is a small symbol of friendship to tell how much I missed my friend when I wanted her the most．A small token to represent that even when you were not with me，your teachings helped me to work on difficult projects．"

    17．A study of school design has discovered that school design can influence a child's development by as much as 25 percent-over the course of an academic year．The 751 pupils using 34 classrooms across seven primary schools in Blackpool were studied by the University of Salford．Standardized data-such as age，gender（性别） and academic performance-were collected on each child at the start and end of the year，while each classroom was evaluated for quality on ten different environmental factors，such as direction for natural light，shape，color and temperature．
    The results，published in Building and the Environment，showed that the architecture and design of classrooms has an important role to play in influencing academic performance．Six of the environmental factors-color，choice，connection，complexity，flexibility and light-were clearly correlated with grade scores．
    Architect Peter Barrett，the study's head author，said，"This is the first time a whole assessment has been made that successfully links the overall impact directly to learning rates in schools．The impact identified is in fact greater than we imagined．"According to the results，once the differences between the"worst"and"best"designed classrooms in the study were taken into account，it was found that the influence that"best"designed classrooms bring is equivalent（相等的） to the progress that a typical pupil would be expected to make over a year．

    Unlike tracking，which means sorting students into separate classrooms，ability grouping happens within classrooms．When done according to the latest research，it has proven to promote achievement．
    Ability grouping is changeable and temporary．Within classrooms，students might be divided into different learning groups dealing with materials of different levels．Any students who master concepts can move upward between groups，and the student groups might look different from subject to subject and unit to unit．For instance，a student who stands out in language arts might be at an average or slower level in math．A student who flies through multiplication tables might need extra help with fractions．Students who lag in reading can be pulled out of the classroom in small groups for practice with a tutor until their reading improves．
