    Good morning.This is Lydia speaking. Now I have no other choice but to call you to complain about the recent purchase of a woolen sweater from your department store on Philip Street, on September 25th. I recently washed the sweater in cool water, following the instructions. However, when I moved it from the machine, the sweater became too large and wrinkled and no longer fit me well. I phoned the store last Tuesday, which was October 12th, and spoke to the shop assistant, a Mr. Morris, who was rather rude on the phone and informed me that I could not get a replacement sweater as it was purchased at a reduced price. Later I phoned again but once more received a cold answer from one of your helpline staff that she could do nothing to help. I felt really upset, for I have been a regular customer of your store for many years and until this incident, I've never had any complaints. I must tell you, I feel disappointed to be treated in such a manner. I demand an apology for this manner. And I think you should have a talk with your workers. I’m expecting you to ring me back as soon as possible.

    In the summer vacation, I paid a visit a mountain village in a suburb of Xi’an. No sooner had I got off the bus when I was greatly surprising to see all the changes. It was far better than I had been expected. Now every family can drink cleanly running water. The villagers needn’t carry water himself any more. Firewood is no longer used for cooking. Marsh gas, a new cheap clean energy, make it very convenient to cook and light. As all the families have color TV set, they can enjoy plays at home.     China didn’t send its first satellite into orbit until 1970, by which time America had already landed an astronaut on the moon, but it’s been catching up fast. Since 2003, China has sent six crews into space and two space labs into Earth’s orbit In 2013, China successfully landed a rover, Yutu 1, on the moon, becoming only the third country to do so.

    Last December, China landed another probe and a rover, Yutu 2, on the far side of the moon. Progress has been slow going since then: due to the extreme conditions there, the rover often has to hibernate to preserve its capabilities for further exploration, Wu said. “The temperature there is minus 190 degrees Celsius, which all components and parts cannot stand. So we let it sleep for a while, making sure it can spend the night safely. A few days ago, it woke up automatically to work. We’ve gained lots of data in the past few days, and we're going to make the data known to the world,” Wu said.
