    Four years ago a storm washed out a water pipeline in the Grand Canyon．The National Park Service had to send water trucks to provide water for the visitors．Last month pipes almost broke again and roads had to be closed for a while．
    Why hasn't the National Park Service kept up the park repairs？There is a lack of money．The United States has 378monuments，parks，and wilderness areas．Between three and four billion dollars are needed for repairs．
    Yosemite is one national park that does have money for repairs．It has two hundred million dollars but cannot spend it any way it chooses．When the park workers started widening the road，they were forced to stop by the Sierra Club．The club claimed that the road work was damaging the Merced River that runs through the park．
    A sierra Club lawyer，Julia Olson，feels that the infrastructure needs to be moved out of Yosemite．That way less pressure will be put on the already crowded park．

    Meteorites are parts of a meteor that have fallen to earth．
    Scientists at the Urals Federal University were the first to announce a significant find-53small，stony，black objects around Lake Chebarkul，near Chelyabinsk，which tests confirmed were small meteorites．
    The fragments were only 0.5to 1cm across but the scientists said larger pieces may have crashed into the lake，where a crater in the ice about eight metres wide opened up after Friday's explosion．
    "We just completed tests and confirm that the pieces of matter found by our experts around Lake Chebarkul are really meteorites．"said Viktor Grokhovsky，a scientist with the Urals Federal University and the Russian Academy of Sciences．
    Many other people were in the area just hoping to find a meteorite after what was described by scientists as a once-in-a-century event．
    Residents of a village near Chelyabinsk searched the snowy streets，collecting stones they hoped prove to be the real thing．But not all were ready to sell．
    "I will keep it．Why sell it？I didn't have a rich lifestyle before，so why start now？"a woman in a woollen hat and winter jacket，clutching a small black pebble（小圆石），told state television．
    The Internet was filled quickly with advertisements from eager hunters hoping to sell what they said were meteorites-some for as little as 1，000roubles （33.18）．

    19．There are three separate sources of danger in supplying energy by nuclear power （原子能）．

    Third．there may occur the danger of a leak （泄漏） or an explosion at the power station．As with the other two dangers，this is nm very likely，so it does not provide a serious objection to the nuclear program．However，it can happen．
    Separately，these three types of dangers are not a great cause for worry，if taken together，though，the probability of disaster （灾难） is extremely high．
