As Christmas is coming, I plan to buy something for my parent. What I want to give back is a VIP card of a health club but neither of them is doing enough exercise. My father works very hardly as a teacher, spending most of his time at school. My mother loves reading and often bury herself in her books. Therefore, all of them should exercise more from now on.
I want to give them this card to express my love and thanks for them. I hope that they will be able to get relaxing in the health club and make more friends here. At the same time, I hope that they can take care their health.

As the intelligence of robots increases to match that of humans and as their cost declines through economies of scale we may use them to improve environments. Thus, deserts may bloom and the ocean beds be mined. Further ahead, by a combination of the great wealth this new age will bring and the technology it will provide, the construction of a vast, man-created world in space, home to thousands or millions of people, will be within our power.

It also marks the 150th anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation (解放黑奴宣言). I used to going to the countryside to draw animals and plants. One day I was walking across a field, looking rabbits to draw. Losing in thought, I hadn't noticed a bull to running towards me. About 100 meters ahead was a tree under that I would sit and draw. Suddenly, I heard the noise behind me. I turned and saw the bull. Knowing a bull can run more faster than a man, I quickly reached the tree and climb up. From there I saw the bull kicking my food bag with it feet. It kept doing this for 15 minute and moved away. But I was quite nervous in the tree.

I don’t remember exact how old I was when I began to ride a bike. I only remembered how I practiced riding a bike in early years. When I first successfully rode a bike, that remains a vivid memory, my brother helped me with holding the back seat of the bike while I was riding. “Wow, I did it!”, cried I, as soon as he noticed I was riding without his hands hold it! I learnt quickly, and soon, even though my feet were not touching the ground, but I was able to cycle around six kilometer a day to school! It’s so lovely to remember which happened at that time.

Charles Dickens (1812—1870), the great nineteenth century English novelist, was born near Portsmouth. His father ran heavily into debt (债) and when he was twelve, he had to go and work in a factory.
