First of all, it was a huge animal．It weighed about 20 000 pounds．Its body was fifty feet long and balanced on a tail that was twenty feet long．This made Tyrannosaurus Rex stand as tall as a two story house．Its head was about five feet long．That’s taller than most fifth grade students．Other things also made Tyrannosaurus Rex an animal to be feared．For example, its teeth were six feet long and perfect for biting other animals．Its huge stomach could hold enough food for a week so it could sleep many days between meals．Even though its front legs looked useless, they played an important part in its hunting．Then it could bite other animal, or it could beat the animal with its powerful tail．It is easy to understand how Tyrannosaurus Rex earned the title “King of the Dinosaurs”．
