In 1865 the famous French writer Jules Verne wrote two books. One was “From the Earth to the Moon” and the other was “Around the Moon” . In these books Jules Verne described man landing on the moon.
In 1969 man did land on the moon. Many of the details(细节) of the real moon landing had been described with amazing accuracy(精确) in Jules Verne’s books.

In 1865, after the war ended, another file was added to end the slavery everywhere in the United States. Early in 1865, the Civil War came to an end with the defeat of the South by the North.
Only a few days after the end of the War, Lincoln was shot by an actor named John Wilkes Booth. The President died on April 14, 1865. In his death, the world lost one of the greatest men of all time.
