⑦Those successful deaf dancers think that dancing is an activity which sight matters more than hearing.
⑧It is no doubt that he couldn't escape punished this time.

【答案】①when→which ; ②thought后加of ; ③in the search of 去掉 the,; that→which ;④ your 去掉;⑤ Which→ As ;⑥ in去掉 ; ⑦which→where ; ⑧It→There; escape后加 being 或punished→punishment
during which he learned Chinese.

think highly of高度评价,是固定短语,所以thought后加of。

in search of是个固定短语,of后面的名词一定是“寻找的目标”,所以in the search of 去掉 the;which made his parents very moved.

as has been said above面已经说过了,是固定短语,所以Which改为 As。

where sight matters more than hearing.

there is no doubt that毫无疑问,是固定句型,所以It改为There;作escape的宾语,用名词,所以punished改为punishment。

Not long after the surgery, Tim saw a brochure describing Imagination Library, a program started by Dolly Parton's foundation (基金会) that mailed a book every month to children from birth to age five in the singer's hometown of Sevier, Tennessee. “I thought, maybe Linda and I could do something like this when we retire,” Tim recalls. He placed the brochure on his desk as a “reminder”.
Five years later, now retired and with that brochure still on the desk, Tim clicked on imagination library com. The program had been opened up to partners who could take advantage of book and postage discounts.
The quality of the books was of great concern to the Richters. Rather than sign up online, they went to Dollywood for a look see. “We didn't want to give the children rubbish,” says Linda. The books reviewed each year by teachers, literacy specialists and Dollywood board members included classics such as Ezra Jack Keats's The Snowy Day and newer books like Anna Dewdney's Llama Llama series.
Satisfied, the couple set up the Richter Family Foundation and got to work. Since 2004, they have shipped more than 12,200 books to preschoolers in their area. Megan Williams, a mother of four, is more than appreciative: “This program introduces us to books I've never heard of.”

Dear Jeremy and Alice,
Although we've been delighted to have you as neighbors, we're hoping to settle something that bothers to us. In a word, your dog—Cleo.
We've called several time about Cleo's early morning barking. It is difficult to understanding why she barks every minute she's outside. The early morning barking have been disturbing us as we are often up all night with the baby. Beside, Cleo tends to bark a average of six hours a day. This morning she starts barking even before 5 o'clock. That is too much for us, considering how closely the houses are.
We appreciate our apologies and goodwill, but we hope that you can figure a good way of settling the matter.
Sincerely,
Jack and Rose

【题目】C

In March, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio ended a decade-long citywide ban on cellphones in public schools and left them to make up their own rules because he argued that by denying access for some students, the city was exacerbating(使加重) the achievement gap in students’ performance.

Two researchers from the London School of Economics, Richard Murphy and Louis-Philippe Beland argued that this might have the opposite effect because students are not generally using their phones to assist in their classroom work during school. "Schools could significantly reduce the education achievement gap by prohibiting cellphone use in schools, and so by allowing phones in schools, New York may unintentionally increase the inequalities of outcomes," they told CNN.

However, some educators have come to embrace the technology in their students’ pockets. Teacher Ken Halla has been teaching world history and Advanced Placement for 22 years but his students’ cellphone ownership forced him to adapt to his classroom dynamics where he no longer is the single authority lecturing, according to the National Education Association (NEA). He now roams(漫步) the classroom and encourages students to use their cellphones to help them complete their assignments, this way they are less likely to let their devices distract themselves.

"It’s harder to do negative behavior when the phones are out and the teacher is walking around," Mr. Halla told the NEA. "I’ve always been that type of person who likes to adapt and change as time goes on. Otherwise, I wouldn’t still be teaching many years down the road."

【1】Why was the ban on cellphones stopped in New York public schools?

A. It negatively affected students’ health.

B. It limited most students’ progress.

C. It brought about unexpected side effects.

A. Appreciative. B. Meaningless.

C. Impractical. D. Worrying.

A. Students can solve problems using cellphones.

B. Students can use cellphones at will.

C. The class focuses on how to use cellphones.

D. He is the only center of the entire class.

【4】What does the phrase "that type of person" in the last paragraph refer to?

A.A tolerant one. B.A humorous one.
