Jack and Mike were going to school in the morning. On the way Jack saw Peter, a friend of his, who was riding a bike on the other side of the street. He was so anxious to join Peter that he left Mike in a hurry, and run across the street in front of a car. How dangerous! He would have been injured or killed if the driver had not stopped his car quickly. Jack jumped onto Peter's bike and they rode on. When they came near to the school gate, a car accident happened. Both Jack and Peter were knocked down by a car. They were injured and sent to the hospital without delay. Luckily they were not killed. But we should draw a good lesson from this car accident: We mustn't cross the roads against the red lights. Never carry others on the back of your bike. In a word, we must strictly obey the traffic rules.
