    Poinsettias (—品红) are native in Mexico but this colourful plant has become part of the Christmas tradition all over North America. The red part of the poinsettia plant are leaves and not flowers. The leaves that have turned red called bracts (苞) .The weeks before Christmas are a busy time for poinsettia sales. More poinsettias are sold in North America in the six weeks before Christmas than all other weeks of the year combine.
