One possible version: 　There are a few potted plants in Lao Wang's house．He spends a lot of time caring for them ．He waters them, gives them fertilizer （化肥）and keeps moving them to different spots where they can get enough sunshine．But for some reasons there's one young plants that seems to refuse to grow．It puzzles Lao Wang a log．He doesn't know why it stays so tall and thin． 　Then one day an idea occurs to him: it could be the climate… perhaps it is not warm enough．He takes a look at the thermometer and decides that the young plant needs heat．He fetches some hot water and pours it into the plant pot．The poor plant, fresh and alive a few hours ago, is now dead．
