    19．When I was little，I'd see tons of bats flying around streetlights at night in my neighborhood in upstate New York．
    By the time I turned 7，I noticed something strange：All the bats in my neighborhood had vanished，and I wondered why．Later I learned what had happened to my town's bats．A disease called"white nose syndrome（白鼻综合征）"had killed 93percent of New York State's bats （and about 6million bats across the country）!I was shocked．I asked the bat biologist what I could do to help，and she said，"Tell others what's been happening．Help people understand that bats are important to our environment and need to be protected．"
