    It was almost five years since I began to learn English. I’m glad to say I’m getting along well with it. However, first I came across a lot of difficulties. I couldn’t pronounce English sounds good, nor could I remember the words I had learned. In class, I couldn’t understand that the teacher had said. I almost lost my heart when the teacher said to me, “Keeping on and you will do well.” I was greatly encouraging. I started working hard at English. With the help by my teacher and classmates, I made some progresses. I’m very pleased, but I will work harder.

    A Bachelor’s degree in Canada is for three or four years’ full-time study depending on the nature of the program you are doing．On the other hand, a Master’s degree consists of two years of study．For a Doctoral program in Canadian universities, you require a minimum (最低/小的) of three to four or sometimes five years of research and study.

    You can also find many diploma（文凭）and certification (认证) programs in Canadian universities where the time is generally one year．Some of the Canadian universities are well-regarded worldwide and the degree and diploma obtained from these Canadian universities are recognized globally and promise bright future．After the completion of studies, a person could also find great job offers in Canada itself．International students require a work permit to work on campus.

    Americans get some of their news and entertainment from public television and radio. These public media receive money to operate from private citizens, organizations and government. Many of their programs are educational. But most of the American media are run by businesses for profit. These privately owned media have changed greatly in recent years. Your health is the first to bear the effect and result of it. “Constantly bending your head to check your cell phone could damage your neck,” Guangming Daily quoted doctors as saying. “The neck is like a rope that breaks after long-term stretching.” Also, staring at cell phones for long periods of time will damage your eyesight gradually, according to the report.

    But that’s not all. Being a phubber could also damage your social skills and drive you away from your friends and family. At reunions with family or friends, many people tend to stick to their cell phones while others are chatting happily with each other and this creates a strange atmosphere, Qilu Evening News reported.

    It can also cost you your life. There have been lots of reports on phubbers who fell to their death, suffered accidents, and were robbed of their cell phones in broad daylight.
