    Global Handwashing Day is the idea of the Public-Private Partnership for Handwashing with Soap．Partners include the United Nations Children's Fund，American government agencies，the World Bank and soap makers Unlever and Procter and Gamble．The organizers say all soaps are equally effective at removing disease-causing germ．They say the correct way to wash is to wet your hands with a small amount of water and cover them with soap．Rub it into all areas，including under the fingernails．Rub for at least twenty seconds．Then  rinsewell under running water．Finally，dry your hands with a clean cloth or wave them in the air．
    The Partnership for Handwashing says soap is important because it increases the time that people spend in washing hands．Soap also helps to break up the dirt that holds most of the germs．And it usually leaves a pleasant smell．The Partnership for Handwashing also says washing with soap before eating or after using the toilet could save more lives than any vaccine（疫苗）or medicine．Hand washing could also prevent the spread of other diseases．When people get germs on their hands，they can infect themselves by touching their eyes，noses or mouths．Then they can infect others．

      Machines can be efficient and cost-effective and they often get the job done just fine．But they lack an element so important to everyday life．
      Call it the spirit，the soul or the heart．It is something no machine will ever have．It is being human that encourages us to smile at others，which may be what they need at that moment．

    Tip 1：Arm yourself with salary information．

    It will do you no good to tell the hiring manager how much you currently make or a desired salary range if you haven't at least made it to the end of the interview to see if you and the hiring manager believe you're a good fit．Let her/him know you'd like to better understand the job responsibilities and requirements and how well you meet those needs before discussing the salary topic．
    Tip 3：Be prepared to provide a salary range．
    This can be handled in a few different ways．You could provide the salary range you've researched，as in，"Based on my research，similar positions in this industry are currently paying between xandy．Is this also the range for which you've budgeted for this position？"Or，you could share the salary range you desire，such as，"Based on the job requirements we discussed and my knowledge，skills and experience，I would expect the salary range of the position to be between xandy．"

    13．In the past few decades，the popular belief in the area of organizational behaviour and organizational psychology has been that happy workers are better workers．However，new research at the University of Alberta shows that sad workers are more productive．
    Psychologist Dr．Robert Sinclair and his former PhD student Carrie Lavis recently conducted a series of four studies addressing the effects of experimentally induced （诱发的） happiness versus sadness on work productivity by asking the participants to build circuit boards （电路板）．In the first study，sad people committed significantly fewer errors than did happy people （approximately half the number of errors） but there was no difference in the number of boards completed．Thus，sad people were more productive．
    In similar studies Sinclair and Lavis found the same results along with evidence that happy people might not devote as much energy to the task in order to maintain their happy moods-they considered that task as something that might detract （减去） from their present feelings．Conversely，sad people appeared to be devoting energy to the task in order to divert themselves from their sad feelings．"It is important to know that the moods were unrelated to the task，"said Sinclair．"Unhappiness is coming from something else．"
    These findings are not surprising，said Sinclair，since there has been a growing body of literature in the area of social psychology demonstrating that sad moods lead to more calm lengthy intent consideration and，often，more thoughtful or accurate judgments．
    In Sinclair's following studies，when people believed that the task would make them feel good，they devoted more energy to the job．The bottom line，said Sinclair，is that it is important for organizations to take into account the emotions of their employees．It seems it could be beneficial to creating situations that lead people to believe that performing their jobs will cause them to feel good：this could cause increases in motivation and superior performance．
