Being responsible is actually not that difficult. I used to think it is hard to grow up into a responsible member of the society. An incident happening in a rainy Sunday afternoon changed my attitude. I was on my way to the bookstore and was waiting for the green light while a girl was knocked down by passing car, which drove off quickly. A man immediately gave her first aid and I had joined in without hesitation. Soon many help was given to the girl. Because we sent her to the nearest hospitals in time, she was able to receive properly treatment. Not badly injured, I expressed gratitude to those giving help. Compared with the escaping driver, I was proud of what I did.

It is Mother¡¯s Day today. Though it¡¯s a western festival, it¡¯s popular in China now.

Mom has a full-time job, so she has to do most of the houseworks. She is a great mother. Both Dad or I planned to do something on Mother¡¯s Day. We get up early in the morning. Dad cleaned the house, and then went on shopping. When he returned , I found a bunch of flowers in her hand. I asked Mom to stay in the sitting room and I cooked in kitchen. The dishes what I cooked were Mom¡¯s favoritest. At dinner, we said to her, ¡°Happy Mother¡¯s Day!¡±Mom was grateful and moving.

Nowadays more and more parents paid great attention to which school their children should be sent. The more famous the school is, the great desire the parents have it to send their children there. This also gives the school authorities great pressures on meeting the need of academic levels. On the one hand, the school wants very much to maintain it's popularity of high academic achievements, when on the other hand, they have to face the reality of the differences in their pupils. In this case, some schools choose to stream our pupils into different types according to their grades. And most schools still teach students in a traditional way, mixed-ability teaching methods, what has aroused some interest in education researchers.
