This morning, I was jogging in the park when I caught sight of a wallet on a bench. Clearly, someone had left it there by accident. I picked it up and checked the contents. Inside it, I found some money and a card with a phone number. Believing that the owner would be worried, I immediately tried the number. A man answered it in an anxious voice. Hearing that I had his wallet, he sighed with relief and told me he would return right away. Ten minutes later, the man arrived. After confirming he was the owner, I handed the wallet back to him. With his thumb up, he expressed his gratitude to me repeatedly. Seeing the smile on his face, I felt happy that I was able to help.

I was sorry to hear that you are suffering from short-sightedness.

To be frank, almost eight students out ten in my class have to wear glasses to live a normal school life, include me. Many factors contribute to this phenomenon. First, us Chinese students who live under a great burden of examinations. We have to fight our way in life with millions of peers. Second, most of us with short-sightedness don’t have a good habit of using our eye, due to neither lack of knowledge of protecting eyes or carelessness.

In this case, I strong recommend that you not use your computer for such long a time any more. However, you should change your habit of reading in bed. Hopefully, your short-sightedness can be corrected by wearing proper glasses.

All in all, don’t worry. It’s no big deal!

Once a man asked a painter to painting a picture for him. He told the artist he didn't want any shadows in the picture, just sunshine, but the artist did so. When the man saw the finishing picture, he was disappointing. Without shadows, everything in the picture looks flat and unreal. The point of the story is that we need both shadows and sunshine to have a completely picture, just as we need both rain and sun to have living world. People, too, needs both sadness and happiness. We often learn important lesson during sad times. So when we feel sad, we should try to stop and think about that we might learn from the experience.
