    Duan Inkstone, ranking the first of “The Four Famous Inkstones” in China, got its name for the fact that it was originally produced in Duanzhou of Zhaoqing. It’s also widely known as a traditional handcraft and has a long history going back to more than 1300 years ago. Duan Inkstone became universally popular in Song Dynasty, when it was favored by ancient Chinese literati.
