I still remember that at the age of twelve, I was asked to deliver a speech entitled An Unforgettable Experience before the whole class! How terrible shy I was the moment when I thought of that. I had no choice but prepare for it, though. First, I drafted the speech, which was easy. But the hardest part lies in my oral presentation. The real moment began as I stood on the platform with my legs trembled and my mind blank. But my listener were waiting patiently. Gradually I found myself back, giving my speech fluently. After which seemed to be ages, I found my audience applauding. I made it! From then on, my fear disappeared. Actually with your confidence building up, I now turn out to be the great speaker. Looking back, I know the greatest difficulty on the way to success is fear. Overcome it, or you will be able to achieve your goals.

I’ll never forget the day that I met my best friend. I entered into the classroom and noticed we had a new classmate. It was a girl who had long black hairs and there was big smile on her face. I thought to me, “I have to be her friend.” Late, I learned her name was Kelly. Working on the farm was quite a experience! Our teacher told us that how a city farm in our neighbourhood was looking for young people to helping with the animals. City farms were a great way for people to get amazed experiences of country life. We can learn more about animals and plant and even take part working on the farm. So I spoke to the manager, but a few days later I was looking after the horses on the farm. I was proud of myself when he helped a young boy to ride a horse for the first time. Why did Peeper return? It’s hard to say. Perhaps his mate died, leaving him lonely. If s also possible that he is approaching his twilight (薄脣) years and knows it, making him long for his early home. This behavior is typical of geese. Whatever the reason, Peeper continues to live with me. It’s a good thing that I stayed in my childhood home.
He doesn’t come home every single night the way he did as a baby. Some nights he may seek out the comfort of his own kind at the lake nearby. Geese in the wild typically sleep on water. But he’s here a lot, making his presence known and giving me joy. Many years later, the goose still remembers the true meaning of family. So do his people.
