The Mississippi RiverFor Huck and Jim, the Mississippi River is the ultimate(完全的)symbol of freedom.Alone on their raft, they do not have to answer to anyone. The river carries them toward freedom:for Jim, toward the free states; for Huck, away from his abusive(虐待的)father and the restrictive(限制性的)“civilizing” of St.Petersburg.Much like the river itself, Huck and Jim are in flux(不断变化着),willing to change their attitudes about each other with little prompting(鼓励).Despite their freedom, however, they soon find that they are not completely free from the evils(邪恶)and influences of the towns on the river’s banks.Even early on, the real world intrudes(侵入)on the paradise of the raft:the river floods, bringing Huck and Jim into contact with criminals, wrecks, and stolen goods. Then, a thick fog causes them to miss the mouth of the Ohio River, which is to be their route to freedom.
As the novel progresses, then, the river becomes something other than the inherently(天性上)benevolent(慈善的)place Huck originally thought it was.As Huck and Jim move further south, the duke and the dauphin(皇太子)invade the raft, and Huck and Jim must spend more time ashore.Though the river continues to offer a refuge(避难所)from trouble, it brings them to drift southward, toward the Deep South and entrenched(确立了的)slavery. As Huck and Jim’s journey progresses, the river, which once seemed a paradise and a source of freedom, becomes merely a short-term means of escape that pushes Huck and Jim ever further toward danger and destruction.

Love the Job
Every day we hear about people making radical(根本的)career changes. We have our choices, but will all these changes make us any happier? Maybe the question is not “How can I get the job I love?”, but “How can I love the job I have?” Take some time to think about it, and you might be surprised by what you find.
1.Realize that your job does not define(给……下定义)you, but how you do it does. There’s a lot to be said for attitude, more than will fit here.Any job can be done well, if done with compassion(激情), done with care.Your attitude at work and the way you treat people-even your mood-do not go unnoticed. They have a profound influence on the people you work with. There are times when you can’t control your situation, but you can always choose how you live in it.
2.Stop focusing on the money.Money will never be enough so stop using it(or the lack of it)as an excuse.Whatever you are bringing home on the 15th and 30th, there are always going to be things you could do or would do if you had more.Try taking tracking(跟踪)every penny you spend in a week.Seeing where your money is really going can help you to refocus your spending towards the things you really want.Getting paid is only one small part of what you do; your work has to be more than just a paycheck(付薪水的支票).
3.Find the importance in what you do.This may require you to think big, but it can be done.Take some time to really think about what you do.Do you provide an essential(必要的)service?Do you get to see the finished product? Then ask yourself “how is this job done differently because I am doing it?” Perspective(远景)plays a huge role in personal satisfaction and sense of well being.Try to remember why you took the job in the first place.
Question:How many aspects does the author give for you to think about to love your job?

With the development of society, there are more and more problems brought to our attention, one of which is that wild animals have no place to survive in the 21st century. Some people think that the protection is a waste of resource. From my point of view, I disagree with this statement for some reasons below.
Firstly, the animals and human beings are creatures created by God.Although as Darwin said, “Survival is the fittest.” we are human beings who have thought. We can’t behave like barbarians(野蛮人)and destroy the environment where animals live.We need places to survive and so do animals. Therefore, we ought to give them a wonderful and natural place to live in.
Secondly, there are a lot of species of animals on the earth. They are just like our neighbors. For example, in my childhood, I went to my grandparents’ home in the countryside every weekend. Not far away from the house, there was a forest.Sometimes, I went there with my cousins and brothers. We met a lot of little wild animals there such as, monkeys, snakes and rabbits.
However, there are a lot of people who have their own opinions concerning this case. From my angle(角度),we, human beings, can’t deprive(剥夺)animals of the survival rights. On the contrary, we have to protect them from extinction(绝灭).Just imagine how horrible the world would be if human is the only creature in the world.Hence(因此),the government should educate people to preserve and protect our neighbors, natural wild animals.
Question:
Why are the animals endangered?
