Forming good study habits is a great start on a path to success. Even small changes can make a big difference and, over time, will change not only your approach to studying and organizing but your overall outlook on school and work.

Having effective (有效的) study habits creates a more efficient academic environment. Planning your study schedule in advance and faithfully sticking to it saves time. Even giving consideration to small details makes a difference. Developing an efficient study plan can make your academic life go much more smoothly.

When you have good study habits, you tend to be less stressed. Students who are anxious on exam days are typically those who came unprepared. Students who organize their lives and stick to their study schedules are confident and relaxed at test-taking time.

Regardless of whether you are setting a good example for classmates or for friends, showing good study habits can have a positive effect on those around you. Your friends and classmates may turn to their own studies as your study. Your roommates may be inspired to organize their own rooms and study plans.

By developing good study habits, you will work more efficiently and experience less stress in the learning process. Having good habits and skills can also influence those around you.

As for me, I benefit a lot from my good habits like getting up early to read English aloud, going over what I have learned before going to bed, and listening to some English programs every day.

In the past, I dared not speak English because I was poor in pronunciation. Thanks to my good habits, however, I have been making progress in my English speaking. Now I’m actively taking part in the discussion in English classes, and also, I am doing much better in English exams.

Therefore, I think it is of great significance to cultivate good study habits. when you have made a plan, stick to it for at least one week, no matter how hard it is. Then you may find it is not as difficult as it appeared. Besides, finding a partner to study together with is also a good way to keep you motivated.

第二部分as for me直接引出个人经验,使用like doing sth.习惯做某事,连续接了三个短句getting up…going over…listening to…将个人习惯流畅地介绍完毕;使用词组搭配benefit a lot受益颇多和用what引导宾语从句,使得句子富有变化;in the past讲述过去dared not speak English不敢说英语的原因是 poor in pronunciation发音差,与养成习惯后actively taking part in the discussion积极参与讨论, doing much better in English exams考试成绩提升形成对比,养成好习惯所带来的收益明显,比较有说服力。poor in在……贫乏 ,taking part in参加 使用简洁得当;therefore开始总结,点出好习惯的重要性,I think it is of great significance to cultivate good study habits 中 of great significance重要意义 比单词important使句子润色更多,significance此类相对高级的词汇会使文章不易浅显乏味,也能更好的表达观点。 Then, Besides的使用划分了层次,使得总结段文章思路清晰。总结:概括文题需简洁,一定不能超过题设字数。讲述个人经历并结论时不能过于牵强,总结全文时不要重复写过的句子。

In a nation with a one-child policy, it’s understandable for parents to worry over whether they are petting their children. Are the children as truly weak as expected?

The concern has been brought into a hit reality TV series — Hunan TV’s Dad!

Where Are We Going? and Zhejiang TV’s First Time In Life. In both, children as young as three have become new public figures(人物). In the show First Time In Life, children chosen from ordinary families are given small tasks to finish by themselves;the ongoing Dad show centers on five fathers and their children who are forced to live a simple life in poor villages, far outside their comfortable city life.

Though they have different family backgrounds, how they behave in the new environments has drawn the attention of the public.

In Dad! Where Are We Going?, the five-year-old daughter of former Olympic diving champion Tian Liang cries and hides behind her father when they arrive at a rural village. In First Time In Life, a young girl in Tianjin cries after being asked by her father to go out alone to buy eggs and a pancake.

In the eyes of some people, these kids always depend on others, and the reason is that their parents give them too much love. But television viewers and parents were encouraged when the crying Tianjin girl finally returned holding the pancake, and Tian’s daughter finally began to take care of her younger friends and learned to ask for help from people she didn’t know.

The father of the Tianjin girl felt “delightfully shocked” and said. “She used to

be well taken care of by her mother or grandmother. Now she has the courage to do it all by herself. ”

The shows have led many parents to change how they raise their children. Shanghai mother Liang Jing said she would try to “give some training” to her shy son, asking him to tidy up his toys. Lin Yi, a parenting expert in Beijing, said giving kids a chance to do things for themselves helps to raise their sense of success, which carries benefits all through their lives. ”

There is distinction between reading for information and reading for understanding. 1.__

The first sense is the one in which we read newspapers, magazines, or anything else. 2. Such materials may increase our store of information, but they cannot improve our understanding. And clearly we don’t have any difficulty in gaining the new information, for our understanding was equal to them before we started. Otherwise, we would have felt the shock of puzzlement.

The second sense is the one in which we read something that at first we do not completely understand. Here the thing to be read is at the first sight better or higher than the reader. The writer is communicating something that can increase the reader’s understanding. 3. Otherwise one person could never learn from another. Here “learning” means understanding more, not remembering more information.

What are the conditions in this kind of reading? First, there is inequality in understanding 4. Besides, his book must convey something he possesses and his potential readers lack. Second, the reader must be able to overcome this inequality in some degree. And he should always try to reach the same level of understanding with the writer. If the equality is approached, success of communication is achieved.

5. It is the least demanding and requires the least amount of effort. Everyone who knows how to read can read for entertainment if he wants to. In fact, any book that can be read for understanding or information can probably be read for entertainment as well.

A.Thus, we can employ the word “reading” in two distinct senses.

B.Such communication between unequals must be possible.

C.We can get access to the content of those materials easily.

D.The writer must be “superior” to the reader in understanding.

E.The writer should have a better communicating skill.

F.Besides gaining information and understanding, there’s another goal of reading—entertainment.

G.Reading for entertainment is capable of increasing our understanding for information.

"Ok," I said to my daughter as she bent over her afternoon bowl of rice. "What's going on with you and your friend J?" J. is the leader of a group of third-graders at her camp?a position Lucy herself occupied the previous summer. Now she's the one on the outs, and every day at snack time, she tells me all about it, while I offer up the unhelpful advice all summer long.

"She's fond of giving orders," Lucy complained. "She's fat," Lucy mumbled(含糊地说)into her bowl "We are going upstairs," I said, my voice cold, "We are going to discuss this." And up we went.

I'd spent the nine years since her birth getting ready for this day, the day we'd have to have the conversation about this horrible word. I knew exactly what to say to the girl on the receiving end of the teasing(嘲笑), but in all of my imaginings, it never once occurred to me that my daughter would be the one who used the F word-------Fat.

My daughter sat on her bed, and I sat beside her. “How would you feel if someone made fun of you for something that wasn't your fault?” I began. “She could stop eating so much,” Lucy mumbled, mouthing the simple advice a thousand doctors and well-meaning friends and relatives have given overweight women for years.

"It's not always that easy,” I said. “Everyone's different in terms of how they treat food” Lucy looked at me, waiting for me to go on. I opened my mouth, then closed it. Should I tell her that, in teasing a woman's weight, she's joined the long, proud tradition of critics who go after any woman with whom they disagree by starting with "you're ugly" and ending with “no man would want you and there must be something wrong with any man who does"?Should I tell her I didn't cry when someone posted my picture and commented, “I'm sorry, but aren't authors who write books marketed to young women supposed to be pretty?”

Does she need to know, now, that life isn't fair? I feel her eyes on me,waiting for an answer I don't have. Words are my tools. Stories are my job. It's possible she'll remember what I say forever, and I have no idea what to say.

So I tell her the only thing I can come up with that is absolutely true.I say to my daughter,“I love you,and there is nothing you could ever do to make me not love you,But I'm disappointed in you right now. There are plenty of reasons for not liking someone. What she looks like isn't one of them.”

Lucy nods, tears on her cheeks.“I won't say that again,”she tells me,and I pull her close, pressing my nose against her hair. We are both quiet, and I don't know if I have said the right thing. So as we sit there together, shoulder to shoulder, I pray for her to be smart.I pray for her to be strong. I pray for her to find friends, work she loves, a partner who loves her, and for the world not to deprive(剥夺)her of the things that make her who she is,for her life to be easy, and for her to have the strength to handle it when it's not. And still, always,I pray that she will never struggle as I've struggled, that weight will never be her cross to bear. She may not be able to use the word in our home, but I can use it in my head.I pray that she will never get fat.

A. Because she wants to offer some other helpful advice.

B. Because she has prepared the conversation for nine years.

3.What does the author want to tell her daughter?

A. It is not easy to take the doctors' advice to eat less.

B. People shouldn't complain because life is unfair.

On top of a few clothes, a small first-aid kit and notebooks, he is carrying a recorder, a video camera, a small computer and a satellite phone—a telephone that connects to a satellite and can be used in many places where cell-phones don’t work.

The journey is long 21,000 miles! It will take seven years to complete it.

As he travels around the world, he is writing stories about the people he meets and the way they live. He looks for how people find local solutions to big problems such as lack of food and water. He also records the sounds he hears and takes photos of the sky and the Earth’s surface.

The long walk started in the Rife Valley in Ethiopia in East Africa. Many consider East Africa to be home to the first humans, who lived 160,000 years ago.

Salopek is retracing the paths our ancestors took as they left Africa and settled in parts of the Middle East, Europe, Asia and the Americas. As Salopek is walking, he is learning more about himself and all of humankind.
