    American’s largest river is the Mississippi River. Another river called the Missouri River begins in the Rocky Mountains(落基山脉) and flows into the Mississippi. This river goes into the Gulf(湾) of Mexico which is part of the Atlantic Ocean(大西洋).

    Other large rivers are the Columbia River, the Yellow River, etc． There are five large lakes on the border(边境) between Canada and the USA． The largest is called Lake Superior. The others are Lake Michigan, Lake Ontario, Erie and Lake Huron. These are called the Great Lakes.
