考查定语从句。The first monthly exam which I took as a high school student∧ held at the end of September。本句中The first monthly exam 是先行词，在定语从句中作I took 的宾语，但先行词被序数词the first修饰。根据定语从句中如果先行词被序数词修饰，关系代词只能用that，不能用which。故which改为that。

②在held前面加上was。

考查被动语态。我作为一个高中生的第一次月考，在九月底举行。主语是the first monthly exam，与举行hold 是被动关系。故要用被动语态。因为这是主句的谓语动词，不是非谓语，故要加上was，构成 was held 。
