Thomas Edison, a famous American scientist and inventor, had more than 1000 inventions. As we
know, one of his inventions is bulb and they changed the world very greatly that the lights in America
were off for three minutes in the memory of him at his death.
I admire him because his great contribution to the world. Though not blessed with much gift and even
thinking to be foolish in teachers' eyes, but he never discouraged himself by difficulties in life, which
instead motivated him to pursue his dream. Beside, in his spare time, he was always eager to know what
things worked, which made him full of wisdom and paved the way for his final success.
Just as he says, genius is one percent inspiration and ninety-nine percent perspiration. From him, I
realize the secret to success is not when and where you were born, but what you are doing and how
you do it in your lives.
