With the improvement of people’s living standards, more and more people possess their own car. Some thought it is good to own a car. First, it’s an convenient, fast and comfortable means of transportation, that saves people much time on the trip. It also makes businesses and industries to develop faster.

Nowadays, there are a lot of films and TV plays that are adapted to popular novels or classical work. Some people think better to read the original, while others are against it.

I think reading the original is too much better than watching its film or TV version because I can experience more after reading the original. Just as a famous saying go, there are a thousand Hamlets in a thousand people’s eye. Different people have different feelings about the book or a certain role. But in the film or TV version, though we can get a main idea more direct, we may miss some wonderful, even important plots. And we are easily misled by the actors or actresses, so they act according to their understand of the book.

In a word, I think reading the original is much better than watching its film or TV version.

As it is known to us, fewer and fewer students do sports regularly, what makes them weak and easily tired.

There are many reasons about this. First of all, some of the students complain that they have too many homework, result in less time to take exercise. Beside, some of them think that it is very difficult for them to keep doing exercise, because it is very hard thing.

An exhibition, The Power of Poison, opened last month at the American Museum of Natural History in New York, intended to give the audience a more vivid understanding of poison.

We are looking for volunteers to help us support newly immigrant youth that live within the city.

We provide various programs such as:

Life Skill Program: Provides the students with a sense of belonging to the school and community in different lessons once a week. These programs are located in primary, junior high and at high school level.

Homework Club: Lends a hand with Math, Science, ESL and Social Studies for students between grades 1 to 12.

Family Program: Connects newcomer families with community resources to deal with cross-cultural problems that may occur.

Immigrant Youth Pilot Project: One-on-One assistances for students at the high school level who have limited English language, math and literacy skills, and few community supports.

We are looking for individuals with the following characteristics:

● Managing time

● Attending to details

● Speaking effectively

● Writing briefly

● Second language would be a value. (Languages in high demand are Chinese, Middle Eastern Arabic, and Persian Farsi)

The students today are given very much homework to do after class. Most of them have difficulty finishing them on time. When I was little, Friday’s night was our family game night. After supper, we would play card games of all sort in the sitting room. As the kid, I loved to watch cartoons, but no matter how many times I asked to watching them, my parents would not to let me. They would say to us that playing card games would help my brain. Still I unwilling to play the game for them sometimes. I didn’t realize how right my parents are until I entered high school. The games my parents taught me where I was a child turned out to be very useful later in my life.
