It's fourteen years since I left the Philippines to live with my family in the USA. A month ago, while on summer vacation back in my motherland, I learned a lesson from mosquito(蚊子)bites. Nick was not the kind of boy I had expected to spend my summer with. I was hoping to have a 16 the summer before my busy senior year, but my mother asked me to do her a 17. My Fellow American,
I have recently been told that I am one of the millions of Americans who will be suffering from Alzheimer’s Disease(老年痴呆症).
Upon learning this news, Nancy & I had to decide whether as private citizens we would 41 this a private matter or we would make this news known in a 42 way.
In the past Nancy suffered from breast cancer 43 I had my cancer surgeries(外科手术). We found through our open disclosures(公开)we were able to 44 public awareness. We were happy that 45 many more people underwent testing. They were treated in early stages and able to 46 to normal, healthy lives.
