阅读下面短文并回答问题(请注意问题后的词数要求)。

[1]Nowadays, researchers from the University of Maryland found that nearly four in five students have depression, panic, confusion and extreme isolation when they are forced to keep away from technology for a day.The study concluded that "most students failed to go the full 24 hours without media". They have been addicted to the modern technology.

[2]In this research, almost 1,000 university students from 12 campuses in 10 countries, including Britain, America and China, have been interviewed. Most of them were unable to avoid technology for one full day. The researchers concluded that, college students at campuses across the globe admitted being "addicted" to modern technology such as mobile phones, laptops and televisions as well as social networking such as Facebook and Twitter. An American college student told of his great desire when he was forced to keep away from the media. He even said  it           “cocaine addiction”.

[3]The research also found students used “nearly the same words to describe their reactions when they were away from the media”. These included emotions such as confusion, anxiety, insecurity, jealousness, anger, loneliness, dependence and depression.

[4]Professor Susan Moeller, who led the research, said technology had changed the students' relationships. "Students talked about how scary(可怕的) it was when there is no technology, how addicted they were to it," she said. "They expected the frustration without the media. But they didn't expect to have the psychological effects,to be lonely, to be panicked, the anxiety, literally heart palpitations (心悸). Technology provides the social network for young people today and they have spent their entire lives being plugged in."

F Albert Einstein had a great effect on science and history. An American university president once said that Einstein had made a new outlook, a new view of the universe. It may be some time before the average mind understands fully the identity of time and space and so on—but even ordinary man now understand that the universe is something larger than ever thought before.

By 1914 young Einstein had been world-famous. He accepted the offer to become a professor at the Prussian Academy of Science in Berlin. He had few duties, little teaching and unlimited chances for study, but soon his peace and quiet life were broken by World War I.

Einstein hated fighting and killing. The great suffering of war affected him deeply, and he sat unhappily in his office doing little. He lost interest in his research. Only when peace came in 1918 was he able to get back to work. In the year following World War I honors were increasingly put on him. He became head of the Kaiser Whihem Institute of Theoretical Physics. But he himself refused the effort to put him in a position far above other people. He was well known for his humble(谦逊的)manners. He often said that his success would certainly have been achieved by others if he had never lived. In 1921 he won the Nobel Prize, and he was honored in Germany until the rise of Nazism when he was driven from Germany because he was a Jew.

I stood there listening to my father shout at the top of his voice. “ Which one of you did this?” He asked with a sharp voice.

We all looked down at the floor containing the art of a child’s handwriting in chalk. I stood there, trembling and had hoped that no one else could see it. Would he know it was me? I secretly wondered. The look on his face failed me to bring myself to tell him. Scared, the only words that came from my mouth were,“Not me, Dad.”

The others denied(否认) it as well. But without saying a word , he disappeared for only minutes and came back with a piece of paper and a pencil. He was so determined to find the truth!

“I want each of you to write exactly what you see on the step.” I was not a stupid kid, though, and when my turn came, I deliberately wrote the words differently. So you can imagine what the result was.

He gathered up our pieces of paper and looked at them, “Since none of you will admit to having done it, then you all get a spanking (打屁股) .”What? Still, I stood there and said nothing.

“I did it. ” I looked around to see my sister step forward . Huh? She did it? No ,she didn’t because I did . Why was she taking the blame for something I did? Feeling guilty, yet still scared to confess(承认), I stood there , letting it happen.
