In this modern world, we rush around all day. There is no   48  for stillness.
And when we are 49  to be still because we’re in line for something, or waiting at a doctor’s appointment, or on a bus or train, we often find something to do. Being still isn’t something we’re  50 .

One effective way of destroying happiness is to look at something and focus on even the smallest fault. It's like looking at the tiled(铺瓦的) ceiling and concentrating on the space where one tile is 【小题1】 .

I received a letter from a grandmother who told me about her four-year-old granddaughter Skylar. Growing up, I remember my father as a silent, strict man—not the kind of person around whom one could laugh. When I was about 12, I had an enemy, a girl who liked to point out my shortcomings. Now that I am no longer young, I have friends whose mothers have passed away.
