For a few years, I have been wearing a ring on my right hand. It’s not always the   16  ring, but it’s always a ring that has  17 on it so that when I look at it, I’m   18  or reminded of something important. I have made a  19 of buying rings like this whenever I see one in a store. Sometimes I give them away as   20 to someone like Jennie.
I first met Jennie in the   21  waiting room and we had talked several times. One night I sat down beside her and   22  how her son was doing because I knew that he was in very  23   condition. She told me that she didn’t know what to do any more because it seemed none of the   24 from the doctors was good. They weren’t at all sure her son was going to   25  the accident that had hurt him so badly. With  26 in her eyes she said, “They’re   27 my hope.”
I knew then that it was 28 just a coincidence that I was wearing the ring that I had on that day. As she   29 to talk, I   30 slipped the ring off my finger and placed it in Jennie’s hand. I told her to wear it to remember that God loved her and He would be with her  31  all of this.   32 Jennie looked down at the ring, she got excited and then held it tightly,  33  the word written on the ring was “HOPE”.
The last day I was at the hospital, I saw Jennie in the distance as I got on the lift. She   34 and held up the hand with the ring on it as she called out to me saying, “Look, I   35  have Hope!”

He met her at a party. She was outstanding; many guys were   36  her, but nobody paid any attention to him. After the party, he invited her for coffee. She was surprised. In order not to appear   37 , she went along.
As they sat in a nice coffee shop, he was too   38  to say anything and she felt uncomfortable. Suddenly, he asked the waiter, "Could you please give me some   39 ? I'd like to put it in my coffee."
They stared at him. He turned   40 , but when the salt came, he put it in his coffee and drank.   41 , she asked, "Why salt with coffee?" He explained, "When I was a little boy, I lived near the sea. I liked playing on the sea ... I could feel its taste salty, like salty coffee. Now  42  I drink it, I think of my childhood and my hometown. I   43  it and my parents, who are still there."
She was deeply touched. A man who can admit that he's homesick must love his home and   44  his family. He must be responsible.
She talked too, about her faraway hometown, her childhood, her family. That was the start to their love story.
They continued to   45 . She found that he met all her   46 . He was tolerant, kind, warm and careful. She would have missed the catch if not for the salty coffee!
So they   47  and lived happily together. And every time she made   48  for him, she put in some salt, the way he liked it.
After 40 years, he passed away and left her a letter which said:
My dearest, please   49  my life-long lie. Remember the first time we dated? I was so nervous I asked for salt instead of   50 .
It was hard for me to ask for a   51 , so I just went ahead. Many times, I tried to tell you the truth, but I was afraid that it would   52  everything.
Sweetheart, I don't exactly like salty coffee. But as it   53  so much to you, I've learnt to enjoy it. Having you   54  me was my greatest happiness. If I could live a second time, I hope we can be together again,   55  it means that I have to drink salty coffee for the rest of my life.

One day, the single brother said to himself, “It’s not    42   that we share all the rice. I’m   43   and I need less than my brother.” So, every night he took a bag of rice from his store-room and    44  across the field    45   their houses, putting it into his brother’s store-room.
At the same time, the married brother thought, “It’s not fair to share all the rice. I’m married and I have my wife and children to   46  me when I am   47 . However, my brother has no one to take care of his   48   .” So, each night he also took a bag of rice and put it into his brother’s store-room.
Several months passed by. They found    49  strange that their rice never became less. Then, one dark night the two brothers ran into each other. Slowly they began to understand what was happening. Their bags fell onto the ground and tears    50  their eyes at once.
