I had a lot on my mind 9 the game today.I don't like things to end,I guess, and this was the last game.I was talking to myself and warning myself about what to do and not to do.I didn't sleep at all 10 ,and when the sun came up this morning,I reached the point where 11 just wanted it all to be over, finished, done. But then when the game started,my mind became 12 .I just lived in this game, this moment.I didn't hear the crowd;I didn't feel the cold or the pain;I never felt tired.I just kept my eyes on the 13 ,and it was just me and the ball and, inside,a soft, white light 14 me the way to the goal.It was a beautiful, empty feeling.

It's all over now,and it's really getting cold here. It's starting to snow. The sun's almost gone, and I can 15 see the goal. Now it's dark and I'm sitting here all alone.Well,I guess it's time to say good-bye and move on.

  Dear Roni,

Italy is wonderful. We started in Rome two weeks ago, drove to Florence last week and now we're on our way to Venice. Three weeks just isn't enough.

The country near Florence is so beautiful-hills, olive trees. And red roofs(屋顶) of the houses look so nice far away.

I am afraid I am getting bigger-the food here is so delicious!

Love,

Akemi

  Hi Roni,

I can't believe(相信) you went to school here in Honolulu! Why did you leave?

I spend each morning on the beach(海滩) and in the water. The sand is so soft and the beaches seem so long. The water is just the right temperature.

One afternoon, I left the beach to walk in mountains near Honolulu. I enjoyed myself very much there.

  How I miss you!

Mari

  Dear Roni,

Maybe I'm strange but I love the desert(沙漠)!

Last week, our group spent four days in the desert. At times, it felt like the moon.

I always thought deserts were all the same! They are not. Some parts look like mountains; others are really different.

And when we find something green--a few plam trees, a little water, we feel good and great.

  See you in September,

Kim

The Bermuda Triangle(百慕大三角)is in the Atlantic Ocean, near Florida in the USA. During the past 60 years, more than 1,000 seamen in ships and pilots in planes have lost their lives. It is known as “The Triangle of Death”for its strange seawater and sudden storms. What's the strangest is the light of the seawater, which looks so bright that it can be seen even from an outer spaceship.

At 2:00p.m. on Dec. 5, 1945, five planes took off in fine weather from the airport of Florida, on a training task. Two hours later, the leader in the sky radioed that he was “completely lost”. Then there was silence. Another plane was sent to look for them and also disappeared.

One of the largest ship that had disappeared in the triangle was an American coal ship, 500meters long. The weather was good, and there were no messages for help before it was “gone”. No broken ships or dead bodies have been found so far.

No one is able to tell how all these accidents have happened. A group of Japanese scientists were there to see what it was really like in 1995, but nothing has been heard of them ever since.
