Ted liked all kinds of sports．He ran fast and jumped high．He was good at playing football and basketball．He often took part in the sports meetings and won some games．Last month, Ted broke his leg in an accident, so he had to stop running and jumping．Later Ted decided to take part in the horse race．He went to the market and wanted to buy a racehorse there．He didn't have enough money to buy a good racehorse．He had to buy an old one．But soon Ted found there was something wrong with the old horse．It ate less and got thinner．He had to send for a vet．An hour later the old vet came and looked the horse over carefully．
“Is my racehorse ill, sir?” asked Ted．
“Yes,” answered the old man．
“Can it take part in the horse race?”
“If you insist, it can,” said the vet．“But I'm sure you will run faster than it!”
